2 weeks into recovery...
I thought it might be useful to let all the pre-oppers/girls who have recently had their ba know how I'm doing 2 weeks after having my partial unders, as I've come such a long way during this fortnight.
I still feel achy and stiff in the morning, and have stingy twinges if I do too much, but basically I'm pretty much back to normal. I can lift my arms but only do so gingerly as I'm still tender and my boobs feel slightly bruised still. But I can cook, shower and wash my hair, drive (second gear is a bit ouchy but as long as I do it slowly it's fine, and I have to feed the steering wheel through my hands like a granny lol), I've done 2 mornings at work absolutely fine, I can push the buggy up and down hills and even lift my VERY heavy 16 month old, as long as I use my legs and try to take most of his weight on my body, keeping my arms in close. This is the hardest thing as he's heavy and it hurts for him to press on my boobs!
I haven't hoovered or bathed the kids yet, people help me with that, but those things can wait! lol
So I still have a long way to go, and I have to be careful, but I can honestly say that I can pretty much do anything again 2 weeks on.
I just thought I'd post this, as I honestly had moments a few days after my ba when I couldn't see me doing anything with the kids or returning to work so soon, and I thought I may have timed the whole thing really badly. But so much has changed over the last few days, and it seems like the more I do, the more I get used to it, and every day it gets easier. I am really thankful to my family who did everything for me for the first 12 days though - that really helped.
Hope this is useful to some girlies out there!

You're right Carrie ... as soon as you can start to do things, and the more things you do, the easier things become.

Re: 2 weeks into recovery...
Welcome! :o)
And 2 days on from that post I feel loads better again. No pain atall, just a combination of sensitive skin and numbness. My muscles still feel tight if I overstretch but am totally comfortable now and have even been sleeping on my side...
