Hey hunny! Congrats on your BA!! I was exacty the same on Tuesday when I took my bra off to shower. I nearly fainted because I was holding my breath as I wa so scared they would fall off to!! I'm not 100% sure about when You should change your bra? I've had my bra on that the hospital put me in for 4 days now, I prefer it to my one though because it's so supportive! How are you feeling other than that? Are they still feeling tight? Xxx

Re: Recovery?
Aw Dawn, reading your post takes me back. My boobs were so swollen out to the sides. When I sat in the bath, when my dressings first came off, I couldnt put my arms down to the sides.
By the evening icepacks were my best friend!
I kept the same bra on for 7 days! yuck I know, but I was too scared to take it off!
Getting out of bed is tricky but each day it gets easier. Took me 1-2 weeks to start feeling more normal. But remember....its all well worth it in the end.
Good luck &

Re: Recovery?
Ahhh bless you. Did you have drains? I was tender to the sides as I had drains, but I wasn't swollen.
I bought two bras the same, one to wear and one to wash. And when I took it off, I held my boobs hehe!
I agree with the painkillers, stick with it - the pain doesn't last long honey.

Re: Recovery?
didnt have drains, pains not too bad only place i am having pain is where my bra is digging in the band area and rubbing so i am thinking do i need to go and buy another bra, if so do i go up band or cup size or both? was 36b but bought 36d which i have no chance, cant get into 36dd neither so have 38dd and still not much good, the cup is ok but the band isnt
Re: Recovery?
If 38DD is ok on the cup but too tight, I'd go up to a 40 but down a cup to a D.

Re: Recovery?
do have to force my boobs into 38dd, well they get squashed down, no room to move but assume that is better than having a bit of sag? and underband wants to chop me in half, which i think is rather inconsiderate
Re: Recovery?
my bra is doing my head in that much i am eyeing it up and debating stretching a little so i can sleep, as feel crushed lol
Re: Recovery?
Oooh maybe a 40 DD then hun. You don't want to squash them, but you do need support with digging in.
Bless you it is hard!

Re: Recovery?
If the cup size is good but the band is to tight, can't you get one of those nlbra expanders? It'll probably fit if your waiting for the swelling to go? X
