...oh, how worried ive been about driving!! The trip home from the hospital last Thursday was horrible - I felt every bump and every slight sway left to right (roundabouts were awful!) so with my post op appointment tomorrow I had to today make sure driving was ok... and thank goodness - it was! Even managed to reverse into a space. As long as I dont have to tug too much on the steering wheel, its fine. I have to say i was a little worried because I had unders. So for any girls yet to have their BA - unders, 1 week post op...

Drive car - tick ! Drove my car - 1 week post op 991311

Well done hun, especially with the reversing. It is a worry cos as much as you need to rest you still have to get on with life. I'm 2 weeks now and drive with no problems at all, every trip out will get easier x

Well the speed bumps didnt bother me which was such a relief! and if I can reverse, I can drive !! I havent tried fifth gear yet as I didnt drive on the motorway, but I will be tomorrow se we'll see!

Back still very achey, and boobs are just so desperate to escape this sticky band!! Will be getting up at 6.30am to get to my 8.30am appointment, so better get off here and get some sleep!

Great news, you sound like you're healing really well.

I'm driving my automatic car without too many probs (although I'm not great at parking in tight spaces at the minute - too much turning of the steering wheel), I do find the manual car a bit more tricky though and am having to use 2 hands to get it into reverse, x

Great news hun - I would try really hard not to use 5th gear for a week or so though - the pulling action is really not nice and it makes muscles you never knew you had do funny things! Hope your appointment went well hun xx

Actually I have 6 gears on my car and today I used them all. However changing gear has been fine. The worst thing is turning into my driveway which requires turning left and right and then straightening up. That I must admit, hurts! Work have thankfully said they dont want to see me this week so I dont have to drive again till Monday.
