Re: shall i get my money back??
I'm unsure from your post what the problem is? But I'm getting that you're happy with your surgery and wanting a re-op but worrying about scarring?
If that's the case you'll be fine and no babe, you wont have two lots of scars, they will cut through the old scar, to remove/replace implant and cut away the old scar tissue before stitching up creating a scar of new skin tissue... HTH. xx

Re: shall i get my money back??
Sorry you're having a sad day hun its a tricky one really because you probably wont get your money back unless you sue them but an infection is a risk of this surgery so they might be covered. You could enquire with the GMC and see what they think of your case, or maybe try and get some free legal advice just to see what your options are.serena wrote:well today im feeling abit down, so many questions going through my head about whats gonna happen and what to do.

Also your ps knows your situation and will be replacing your implants soon and everything might be fine after than so maybe its worth waiting. Do you not feel confident with your ps now? x
Re: shall i get my money back??
no nads im just so unhappy about everything. i think like you say just hang on till sfter xmas and have them done with him again and if not right then i shall demand my money back. i just dont no what to think at moment. its depressing!!
certain people keep saying to me its not right you didnt pay for that etc, but an infection is obvoiusly one of them things, and its starting to do my head in and making me think, was it the surgeon etc. oh i dunno. i think i was just want my perfect boobs now cuz thats wht i was payinf for. xx

Re: shall i get my money back??
And you deserve lovely boobs, you've been so brave hun you could always go on some consultations and get their point of view on the matter if you want. I know this is personal but do you have the funds to quit the HG and just go somewhere else? If it was me and I had the money, I would do thatserena wrote:no nads im just so unhappy about everything. i think like you say just hang on till sfter xmas and have them done with him again and if not right then i shall demand my money back. i just dont no what to think at moment. its depressing!!

I'm very sorry to hear that babe :huggy:
Please don't worry about the scar, you'll be fine and be left still with only one scar and all old scar tissue cut away, I know this as I'm having a re-op myself and asked the very same question. x
As for getting your money back, I agree with Nads, I doubt very much you will but it's worth seeking some free legal advice just to see what they say...
I know going back is all very scary and all the fears that were there the first time are trebled at the thought of going back again, but odds are that you'll probably be fine this time hunny.... I'd be inclined to have the re-op and take things from there, you may find you're perfectly happy after the replacements and if you're not, then you haven't lost anything in going elswhere after that...
Sending a big HUG your way... been through quite an ordeal myself lately and can empathise with how you're feeling... xxxxx
Re: shall i get my money back??
I don't know what to suggest hun, as nads said an infection is something that can happen. I suppose you could get a consultation with another company and see what they suggest. I'm sure it's a very scary and emotional time for you at the moment. Just wanted to say, thinking of you and I hope everything works out for you no matter what you decide to do.

Of course you can sweetheart :hug3:
Three years after my aug I found swollen lymph nodes, went for a CT scan only to discover a rupture of the left implant...
I was 'just' within my warranty covering the implant so all was fine and the op was free, then I had my consultation!.... On seeing my PS he said that the rupture had expanded my left breast so much which now hangs considerably lower than the right, that in replacing the implant, it won't make a difference and after the surgery I'd be left looking that way, I was horrified! Not once had I ever been informed in any consultation about the possible consequences of a rupture, the possibility that I would be left with a deformity!!!... I asked if there was anything he could do and he said the only way to fix it was with an uplift and then the battle with Transform started....
As the expansion was a direct consequence of the rupture, I felt Transform were responsible for what happened to my breast, but they refused to accept any responsibility and gave me a price of £4,000, after a very long and drawn out emotional battle, I've now settled at a price of £3,000. Only because this has been going on since late June and I'm concerned about leakage as I have swollen lymph nodes.... I still believe Transform are responsible for what happened, but I just want to move on from it all now and hopefully once again feel happy in my skin!... At the moment I feel like a freak!... Can't even look in the mirror, but all that will be behind me soon! :happydance:
Re: shall i get my money back??
How about switching surgeons within THG? Do you feel you cant trust your surgeon, I know Russo works with them now and i've heard good things about him, seen some of his work too. He used to work for Transform x

god hunny thats awful i cant believe that you even have to pay a penny, thats horrible. god mine is nothing compared to what your going through.. when are you due to get them sorted? have you still got implants in now or have they been removed.
big hugs babe. xx
why did the implant rupture anyway, i thought it was very rare that it happened. xx

that is actually a good idea nads, but how would i go about that??? i really dunno what to feel at the moment as i have seen his work and he is good, but when things like this happen it just puts you off. i dont know whether he is actually performing any ops there though i may be wrong.. thanks nads xx

Firstly Serena, I gotta say, your avatar made me splutter my tea all over my laptop! so funny!... Love it!!!! hahahahaha
To answer your questions -
I don't have too long to wait for my surgery now, date is set for the 29th of this month.
Implants are still in place, although leftie severely deflated, I look repulsive atm.
I really couldn't give you the percentage of ruptures babe as I just don't know and unless clinics report every single rupture case, which I doubt they would, then we'll never truely know just how many people do incur a rupture... My rupture is what's referred to as a spontaneous rupture, no-one can explain why it happened, it's just one of those things I'm told, no trauma to the breast, no over execertion, just... POP!.... I'm inclined to believe that the actual implant was faulty, there's no other reason for this to happened... but there you go, I was just unlucky I guess...
Re: shall i get my money back??
Hey Serena, it's only natural you will now have these doubts, after all, you put your trust in this surgeon and feel let down, you developed implant infection which is rare but does happen and you were unfortunate this happened to you hun but in my opinion however it was dealt with very well, i was left for months with my infection and my surgeon only removed one implant in the most appauling way (in fact i just had to stop typing for a minute and held my hand over my face just thinking about it then! )
The quickest way forward is to stay with them and change your surgeon if you are no longer confident in him, if you were to try and get your money back you may face another battle and all you want right now are your boobies back and be well, also if you go elsewhere, like Transform for instance, they wont see you until 6 months after your first op so there will be chance you will be waiting longer.
Thinking of you and sending you big hugs x x x

Re: shall i get my money back??
Well if you really feel you dont trust your original ps you can tell THG and request another ps to do your reop, see what they say. But if you feel ok with your ps then thats fine too hun. Those surgeons work for THG exclusively so THG are their boss basicallyserena wrote:nads wrote:How about switching surgeons within THG? i know what your saying hunny, i think its cuz im just confused about everything at min and still keep asking myself, why me, was it my surgeons fault etc etc. yes i agree i cant fault the company up to now, they have been brill and got things sorted how they should be. i think im just gonna give him the beneifit of the doubt, when i go back after xmas gonna ask to see his ops he has carried out again, just to refresh my memory so im 100% happy. my boobs are still reallt tender and my ribcage feels bruised is this all normal.
another thing as well my patient co has now left the company so i no longer have anyone to contact, i thought they may of contacted me and give me a new one, so whenever i phone my clinic i was have to explain things to them first, and its like explaining yourself over and over and some stuff quick personnel. xx

I'm actually opting for smaller implants, When I had my first aug, surgeon discussed 410's with me but said that may change when I'm on the table. it did and I woke up with 460's... I'm just 5ft 2 and small framed... although I've ADORED my boobs, I am very busty, my husband calls me 'lucky legs'.... he calls me that because he says I'm lucky they hold the rest of me up!
I'm only dropping a cup size though, from a DD to a D but I think it'll make a big difference in how I look and I might manage going out without people staring at my bazookas!
Re: shall i get my money back??
ha ha, where abouts did you have them placed over or under?? was u small to start off with?? surely if u go smaller you will have to have an uplift two?? people always say they dont look as big in clothes and when i had mine in even though i couldnt where proper bras i found they looked tiny in clothes. xx

Re: shall i get my money back??
I have overs.
I started off a 34B ended up a DD
Yup, having an uplift too.
I think I must be the exception to rule! LOL My boobs are very Pamela Anderson like (you see my boobs coming before you see me!) haha! No matter what I wear, it's quite obvious I'm large breasted!... I think if I were 10 years younger I'd probably keep them this size, but at 41 I'm ready to blend into the background a little now.... Not completely!... but a D cups worth!
