Combat
Hi guys, is there anyone out there that does combat?? I used to go twice a week and it really helped me with my weight loss but since having my BA the pounds are creeping back on . I am now 6 weeks post op and have told myself that I'll start back after Xmas just to give myself some more time to heal properly. Do you think I'm being silly for waiting so long or would I be ok to start back sooner?
Thanks guys

I would wait hun, I was 2/9/09 and I wouldn't even contemplate doing combat at the mo!! new avatar has to wait until I can do it without anyone in the house!! have a relative who has no idea I have had a boob job seriously not even realised!!!! so i don't want to risk getting caught with me tits out taking pics!!!!! should be able to do it thurs this week !! xxxxxxx

I am not too sure what it involves Gemma...but sounds full on!!
I would ring P.S. and ask his opinion...think you would feel better having his go ahead and enable you to feel comfortable taking part and also enjoy!! Good Luck. xx

Re: Combat
Hi Gemma - I love combat too! Did you have unders? IU had my op 20th Aptil so 6 months ago and am planning on starting back at Combat next week for the new release! I do body attack as well and have been doing that since 3 months post op although only without any discomfort for the last 6 weeks. I still find swimming uncomfortable. Try doing a few combat moves at home to see how it feels? I had probs with my rightie for a while after op so this is maybe why I've found upper body exercise more difficult. I did body pump for the 1st time last week - that was interesting - my arms are so weak after not exercising them for 6 months lol!

Re: Combat
I do body bombat, the new release is soooooo hard! I go 3 times a week and in between I do step, spinning and once a week body pump! You could say I was addicted!!
My PS said to me that after the 6 weeks if the nurse says you are healing normally and there are no problems then to start exercising again, obviously wearing a really supportive sports bra and try not to do too much pounding exercise until 12 weeks. I think the new release combat may be too much for 6 weeks post op personally.
I think waiting until after christmas will prob be enough as your already 6 weeks past your op anyway so its another 7 weeks or so until the new year??
See how you feel xxx
