VERY VERY HAPPY TODAY!!!
Just thought I'd let you all know that I went for my 6 week check on Thursday and all is well with the healing. Surgeon said he's very happy with the way new boobies are settling and that I can now go and get a normal bra....horray at last . He actually said he didn't believe in getting measured cos so many places measure differently and to go and find a bra I like and try it on and if it fits then that's fine!!!! . I found this quite bizarre and went to M&S today to be measured and was measured a 34D but lady said I am actually in between a D and DD . Maybe I have fluffed a bit as I was wearing a C post op bra . Anyway I am sooooo happy with a D and feel much better about boobs now and if I haven't fluffed yet then there's a chance I could go bigger, but will be quite happy still if I don't.
The two bras I got today are non wired but can't wait till I can go for underwired ones cos there's so much choice out there. When did you all start wearing underwired bras? I'm just 6 weeks so should probably wait a few more weeks.

Im glad your happy and everythings fine. I started wearing underwired at 6weeks but not all day everyday cos it was a bit uncomfy all the time. I think if its not comfy then your body will let you know, but you should be fine at 6 weeks hun xx

Re: VERY VERY HAPPY TODAY!!!
hey good for you!!!
glad all is well.
I think you'll be ok now to slip on a wired bra hun, start off for short periods like a few hrs and see how you feel, alternate with your support bra still for comfort. x x

Glad you are happy!!
As SS said you will know if it feels comfy with wires! Did your P.S. advise on when he feels you could wear one? Perhaps call and clarify.
I was advised only very occassional for first six months or so to enable all healing to take place as they can rub on healing tissue. Again, though, everyone gets different advice. xx

Time really flies by natta, don't know where the last 6 weeks has gone!! It was really nice getting measured and buying some bras at last, and the best thing is that wearing normal bras actually make me look bigger . I hope your 6 week check goes well for you and look forward to reading all about it.

Katie, good to hear your band size has gone back down and that you're very happy with your size . I do think I'll leave it a little while longer before trying underwired, although I am tempted to try sooner . I will say though that you do look bigger than a C in your avatar pic...and you could still fluff yet!!!
