Going Bigger!
Has anyone had a reop to simply go bigger without having any complications?

Re: Going Bigger!
I had a re-op to go bigger hun - 7 years after my first ba. Apparently with a re-op there are certain complications you are more likely to get second time round, but some you are less likely to get, according to surgeons and stuff I've read.
I didn't have any complications, although I was much more worried about them second time round!!!! My lefty got very swollen and after my op which lasted a good 3 weeks, which was due to my old pocket filling up with fluid. This isn't really a complication as such as it went on it's own, but this can be quite common. I also read that with second ops your chances of getting a hematoma are slightly higher. On the flip side, the chances of getting cc are slightly reduced as your body recognises the implant.

Re: Going Bigger!
Are you still not all that happy with the size, Gemma? I do feel the same, and had smaller implants than you so my boobs must be smaller than yours. I have decided to wait for 6 months, when I will see my po again, and see what I think. Not sure that I can afford a reop, would be worried about complications etc, and so I think I must try and enjoy and be pleased with what I have...Boobie greed is terrible, isn't it!

Re: Going Bigger!
If you're not happy with sizing, do you have to pay for the full op again? I've seen a few girls on here going for reop and wondering how it's being funded...

Re: Going Bigger!
Yes I had to pay full price plus more as they charge you to remove implant aswell.
Another thing to bare in mind when considering a re-op is that usually when they remove the old implant your natural breast tissue can come out aswell. I am not sure how much is the norm - but apparently is very common - this was the case with me too.

Re: Going Bigger!
No it's lost hun. Thats another thing to think about, as then there is less natural tissue covering the implant. This is why I had unders - I was aware this would happen so wanted to layer above it as much as poss, lol!

Re: Going Bigger!
Yeah I am happy with my result - they don't feel or look the same, but I went from having overs to unders so it's all abit different to me lol. Where as you had partials already right? I'm still quite soon post op so don't have the final result yet, but so far so good

Re: Going Bigger!
Yes you would still lose some breast tissue, I think how much depends on the skill of the surgeon, although some loss in enevitable. I was aware of this before my op, it didn't put me off as I knew I would still be bigger then I was before, it's just I wouldn't be as big as I would have been if I had that size first time round - and I would also have less tissue covering the implant.

Re: Going Bigger!
i had my first implants in for 9 years and had re op to go bigger last year but i did have complications. my lefty was placed too far over to the left so i needed a re op.
i decided to change from unders to overs and also to go a bit bigger again.
i had my op in may and everything went fine this time and ive had no problems.

Re: Going Bigger!
well when i decided to go bigger after my first b/a i had to pay and it was more expensive because they charge for removal of old implant too.
when i needed the re op though they said they would do it for free but as i wanted to go bigger than 525 i had to pay extra just for the implants, not for the op itself.

Re: Going Bigger!
Blimey reading all this I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I am content with my size come my review next month lol.
Loss of breast tissue... Eeeee that's given me the heebie jeebies!
Plus, I didn't think about the 'removal' and cost for doing that... How much more did you pay AK?

Re: Going Bigger!
well i paid £4750 for removal and new implant the 525cc then another £1290 for the 700cc implant.
i didn't have loss of breast tissue though because they were under the muscle first twice then i changed to overs.
i think you just lose tissue if they are overs.
