I'm panicking I think my boobs infected!!!!

The past few days I've been feeling a sort of dragging sensation in the vertical uplift incision, I just thought this was healing pain as my c section incision felt the same when it was done. But....... I've just had a good look and one little area is sort of purpley blue coloured and it had a tiny flake of skin over the top of it. I rubbed the flake away with my fingertips and it sort of popped (urggh I know, I'm sorry!) and it's now leaking a clearish/pinky liquid and I can see a little hole Shocked

I've just called the doctors and they've given me an emergency appointment for 3.40 today. I'm sooo upset as everything seemed to be going so well :sad:

I know it's a simple course of antibiotics, but I'm scared because it's right on the scar line, so does that mean it will affect the scar fading in future?

oh no hunni, sorry to hear about this, small little infections can be popular on scar lines and can be due to a bit of stitch working it's way out or something like that and quite harmless but without actually seeing what your describing it's hard to tell, it's great the GP is seeing you today and hopefully with anti biotics it will be right in no time, i'm sending you hugs and wishing you luck I'm panicking I think my boobs infected!!!! 571992

.x. oh dear, hopefully it is nothing serious, maybe just a rouge stitch? and if you do need the antibiotics at least you are seeing the doctor really quickly and so should be sorted soon xxx

I'm back and I have industrial strength antibiotics Shocked

The doctor thought it was just a dodgy stitch like you all suggested, so I've got a course of antibiotics and I'm going to ring my surgeons secretary tomorrow just in case he might want me back in for a look.

glad you got it seen to and yes it's a good idea to check with the surgeon, they normally work themselves out but sounds like this one's giving you a bit of grief, hope you don't get no nasty side affects from them anti biotics, i lived for about 9 weeks with thrush thanks to the high dose of antibiotics i was on and it was a nightmare, i'd get rid of it one day and back the next it would be with avengance!! yuk!! x x

Sticky, well done acting so quick, I am sure all will be fine with strong antibiotics, just make sure you take the entire course religiously its so easy to forget them and the whole course is vital or bugs just come back... big kiss hun, keeping pinkies all crossed will be ok for you.... try not to worry.... just keep eye on it I'm panicking I think my boobs infected!!!! 571992

I hope you don't get thrush from the meds, I had it just recently and I swear I could have taken the scissors to my flaps and cut them off I'm panicking I think my boobs infected!!!! 557141

Thrush is an awful side effect from antibiotics - I've just recently found out I've been suffering with it non-stop since being on antibiotics for about 9 weeks roughly 3 1/2 years ago. I would recommend you get some high strength probiotics from a health food shop to take while you're on the antibiotics just to keep your good bacteria levels up. xx

It is itchy and sore, but in my case I just got so used to the symptoms and the doctors kept telling me I was fine and didn't have it that I didn't treat it for a long time, didn't even realise I had it just thought I was very temperamental down there! Not nice.

Really glad you're getting things sorted now Sticky, better to nip these things in the bud rather than wait for them to possibly get worse.

I just roared laughing at this comment SB! But definately agree, Mine was horrific too, drove me insane i was so run down with it, the itching is something else!!

Really sorry to here about your wee infections. The girls are right get the canastan stuff ready just incase. I always need it when i take anti biotics. its horrid.

Hi,sorry to hear about the infection,you should be sorted soon enough with the anti biotics hun.If you do unfortunatley get thrush,canestan cream is great and not sure if you already know this but you can use natural live yogurt as well!x

How is the boob hun? Hope the antibiotics have sorted it out, its quite normal to have leaking clearish fluid so im sure you'll be ok hun x
