hi ladies

i was wondering if it would be best to lose a a few pounds before my BA as ive heard so may ladies say how much weight they have gained due to resting etc.
im a keen gym goer so will be quite imobile when its my turn, not being able to return to the gym until 6 weeks!
or would it be best to gain a few pounds and have that extra fatty tissue to help the implants?

also V pillow?? what are they used for ive heard so many ppl mention them just not sure how or what they have used them for or when etc? lol

pleae advise

thanks

v pillow is an orthapedic pillow, which props you up ie in bed so you can sleep upright, also ladies on here have mentioned that its handy for the journey home after the hospital to stop seatbelt digging in to your new additions.

I too have lost some weight, am trying to shrink my tummy as like you say ppl gain a bit of weight with not exercising etc.

my OH is telling me off tho as he says i need to eat properly before my op.

but i do eat breakfast and tea its just lunch i will have yoghurt, apple and banana, so im not starving myself!

.x. don't think there's any harm in losing a little bit beforehand because yaou probably will put on a little afterwards with being less active. however, apart from the initial bloating etc from the GA, i didn't really gain anything significant during recovery. i just cut down on food during recovery, not drastically, but i was really careful what i ate and made sure not to snack when lying around the house doing nothing...i just cut down my portions until i could exercise again and if boredom got the better of me and i really needed a snack, made sure it was a healthy one...i think so long as you are disciplined afterwards and don't eat quite as much as you would be if you were active then you shouldn't pile on too much afterwards. just be careful for the 6 weeks then you can resume normal eating once your active again xxxxxxxx

I'm trying to lose a bit of weight but only a few pounds, I'm still gonna attend my dance class after the op but I'm just gonna walk thru the steps and not lift my arms or push myself with anything energetic x

Hi,

I wish I'd lost the weight that I wanted to (a stone) before my op as I have now lost half a stone and have already lost an inch around my boobs!

Like Lozzied said, as long as you are careful during your 6 weeks of not exercising, you should be ok. You can still go out for walks so could do that once you feel up to it.
I put on 2 pounds but that could have been the implants. Once all of the bloating has gone, you should be fine.

Thanks for the info onthe v pillow, do you know where i can purchase one from and how much they cost?

also would it be best to start using bio oil or some kind of deep moisturising cream now, my BA is booked for december 23rd (just intime for xmas) as i have a fear of geting stretch marks so want to make my skin as supple as possible... xx

least you are eating healthy, smaller meals every 3 hours or so is good to keep the hunger at bay and keep sugar levels even :O) xx

You can get them from argos or tesco's for about £8. I think someone mentioned on here that they do them in Primark for £5.

Hun, I used bio oil for I think 3 or 4 weeks before my op, and I haven't got any stretch marks (touch wood), but I am only a month po so I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed! But it's great stuff, it's fading my old ones fantasticly too - expensive but lasts AGES!
