Low Profiles.. advise please
Hello everyone.. I have read the posts about low profiles but still feel unsure... I have not seen that many pics... it appears most sites show hp and they seem to be more popular.... SOoo if you happy to share a pic or two... I have taken one of my self too....
I have had 3 appts.. and they all said different things.. I guess it's their opinion.... well hopefully based on what I say.. Mmm but on my last appt I took my ex (he was concerned) Mmmm big mistake.. I did not feel I could be as open with the surgeon..... Sooo I said I wanted natural and shapely.... what I meant was.... how big and as natural as possible... oh n full.... not sure that translates different or not.. or am I being just last minute nerves... op next tues at 8am... Grrrrrr... Anyway... my surgeon is not around until the day of the op... and I have asked to be first as i have a little girl I want to get home to asap... so there will not be a lot of time.. the patient co-ordination is away until tomo too... Grrrrrr.... Sooo on my appt I was told 320-360 low profiles... and now I am thinking I may prefer medium (but found out they do not do them) only hp or lp and they only order in lp as they need them..... yikkkesssss.... I just want full nice boobies.... feeling rather worried at he mo that I am going with whats available... initially I thought let the surgeon be the surgeon and leave him to it... but I guess I should of had a 2nd appt... I like and trust the surgeon..... it's just a case of does he know what I want? will he be happy to do what I want if it is different to what we first discussed? and if I change along with his approval will they have it there? Oh dear.. phewwwwww.....
I have spent today looking at pics on the net but they all seem high... and I kinda like them now.. hehe... well certain ones of course.... but I am hoping I will like lows if I see them.... ;-)
Sooo if anyone can help with pics that would be great and I will share mine too.... may need guidance on how to do that though.
Thanks for taking the time to read..

Hi meqr
This passage is from
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
"The type of profile you need will depend on your anatomy. If you have a wide breast
base, you may not be able to use a high profile breast implant. If you have a petite
build, don't assume that your small size automatically qualifies you for high profile
implants, because it does not. You can be 4'10", 85lbs, and still have a wide breast base.
While some women want high profile breast implants because of the projection they offer, others want wide implants (moderate or low profile) so that they can have "side-boobs". Again, you don't want an implant that doesn't "fit" your anatomy. Click here to see a photo of someone that received implants that were too wide for her. This
is not a result you want.
Just as you should not make assumptions as to the implant type that's right for you, you should not assume that low or moderate profile breast implants cannot give good projection because nothing is farther from the truth."
You have probably been recommended low profiles then because of the width of your boobs?
I think Katie looks amazing and she had low profiles..hope her pics reassure you.
Good luck xxx

Re: Low Profiles.. advise please
Ooh Samarie, that was really interesting.
at my first consultation I was told I should have 350cc low profiles. I had a long hard think about it and although I was happy to trust the surgeon's judgement re the implant, I didn't feel that my consultation was reassuring and I didn't feel at ease with the surgeon so I booked an appointment with another surgeon who told me low profiles would not help me get the fullness that I wanted so recommended 460 high profiles. Although this is bigger than I planned to go it was more or less the same width as the smaller low profile but with the projection also.
This was possibly down to me not explaining myself well enough first time around in what I wanted to achieve.
Having said that I've seen some really amazing results from low profiles that have that lovely fullness but fall in a very natural way. xxx

Oh thank you..... I have no idea how to do a reply to all you girls under your messages at the moment... Sooo I guess I will have to do one for now... I am trying to sort the password to the word does not run to the hills... ;-)
And wow thanks Samarie.... yes that was useful and the pic wow... yikkkkessss..... that was very calming and useful information.... I am just not sleeping for thinking about this.... I am normally pretty chilled out... however.... I have even had a dream of a bad boob job done by my patient co-ordinator... throught the nipple too... so I guess this is really playing on my mind.... I am pleased I found this place yesterday... you all seem very knowledgable and well thinking.... I hope it rubs off.
Thanks again.

Re: Low Profiles.. advise please
HI Sam
no sleep & bad dreams prior to ba I can sympathise with... I think I nearly went nuts leading up to it,, seemed so many decisions and really didn't want to make the wrong one.. not like you can just get a refund/exchange the next day..... not exactly marks & spencer getting a ba!!
I am sure you will work it out, try not to fret, best advice I can give you is find a surgeon you are REALLY COMFORTABLE WITH & you TRUST...
promise I will get some new piccies today of my
