sports and movement with unders
Hi girls, how are you finding doing sports with unders? Does it affect the muscle? And does the muscle contracting affect the implant shape? I do a lot of yoga and I am a dancer, so I use my arms and chest muscles a lot. I have asked for overs as it scares me to have something put under the muscle, however now I am afraid I won't get such a natural result and might change my mind. I was wondering if there is anyone on here who does a lot of exercise - have you had any problems?

Re: sports and movement with unders
hiya, im afraid i dont do much strenuous excercise, im more of a walker, but i notice it when i press on something, for example if you have atub on a worktop and you push down to press the lid on ( probs a crap example!) or if you put your hands on your hips and push, my boobs move up and sideways, i find it quite amusing and its now my party trick!
Although they do that, they dont look misshapen o anything and its not enough that anyone would notice unless i pointed it out ( which i do! lol).
Before my re-op mine moved quite a lot for unders and although they werent 100% right, they looked a nautral shape at the top etc.
ome of the other ladies may have different experiences but for me i dont find it a huge problem x

Hi im not sure of your stats or if uv seen my pics but I had ''overs'' and I havnt been told they look fake, I personally dont think they do either ( only 13 days PO, mind) so I wouldnt worry about that to much. PLus I dont think your having a very large implant from what i rememb.
A friend of mine has ''unders'' and I have to say she is struggling a bit down the gym in terms of upper body strength. On the other hand aswell tho hers so look great. This is one of the reasons im glad I had overs as im training for the RAF so all i do is (push ups/run/ etc etc )
I would say go with what you feel most comfortable with, if your surgeon is happy to do overs. Mine actually said he wouldnt do unders on me as the result wouldnt have been as good xxxx

Oh SG007 would you mind let me look at your pics? And you are right, I am not getting big implants but I have quite a bony frame and I don't want to end up looking like Victoria Beckham with her two half oranges sticking out of her ribs!! On the other hand if my surgeon says they will look good as overs I should trust him...
The other thing is, though, I'm reading that overs have a higher chance of capsular contraction, bottoming out, and sagging later on... I'd like my boobs to be long term but on the other hand the idea of putting something under the muscle freaks me out. OOOh I don't know!! I guess I just have to talk to my surgeon again to make a final decision.

Re: sports and movement with unders
hi hunny, i had unders and have lost quite a lot of upper body strength. before i had my op i could do a few real pressups, now i am still struggling to do girly ones on my knees...
when i do do them it feels like my implants are going into my armpits and is a bit uncomfortable.
if i used the weights room in the gym i avoid anything that works my chest muscles as it does make them look a bit odd, it lifts them right up and out to the side, not a good look! lol
i run a lot and haven't found having unders to be a problem with that...

Thanks hun... although I don't do gym work, yoga is quite heavy on the upper body plus with dancing my muscles need to be really strong and flexible, I also do some shows and if the area is not covered I wouldn't want anything odd to happen and to be visible... maybe i should still have overs but I will ask my surgeon again.

Re: sports and movement with unders
You are right with what you have said about the risks but each placement hav pros n cons. As for the sagging i read on (harley street secrets, well i think it was) that a surgeon he was talking about on there never recomends an implant bigger than 350cc due to the risk of saggin along with other things. So im interpretting this as that becase you hav had a smaller implant I wouldnt worry to much about that. As im sure you know with implants you will always have to have them replaced at some point so can deal with it when the situaton arises.

Re: sports and movement with unders
To be honest I don't really do much proper exercise these days....but I have a 6 1/2 st Bullmastiff and she gets very strong at times...I didn't take her out for the first few weeks but I haven't had any weird feelings that I've noticed some people describe when the muscle is strained :)

Hi hun, i dont do much exercise if im honest  but i like bike riding and that fine. I wouldnt do alot of chest muscle exercises with unders, remember the implants are 'placed' under the muscle not attached so they can move into your armpits if you do alot of chest exercise early on post op. Ask your ps what he thinks.
Like the other girls have said, it feels weird doing some movements like opening jars and hoovering. x
Re: sports and movement with unders
Hey lovely,
I do a lot of physical work and work on building sites a couple of days a month, and one thing that I really didn't want to happen was distortion. I didn't want blokes looking and knowing I'd had a BA.
I had overs and I think mine look very natural. Don't get me wrong, overs can create a fake look (which I can also get and love!) but they can also look very natural.
I think girls with overs seem to be able to get cleavage better, and healing time was quicker too, so for me it was the best option. All the PS I saw said I could have either.
