pre-op girls - what changes happen in the first months?!
hey girls!!
the questions dont end once the BA is done!! i had mine on monday, and am absolutely over the moon, but am wondering if i could ask pre-op girls a couple of questions...
firstly, when can i go and get measured?! i am really impatient and intrigued about what size they are - i have very little swelling, and know that they are going to change over the coming weeks, but would it be ok to go and have a sneaky measure next week!? or will that damage my new girls?
secondly, what is going to happen over the next few weeks? mine are still very high, round and firm! there is also a 1-2cm gap between them - will they drop forward to fill this gap!? and do they tend to get bigger or smaller over time (i had unders) - i am keeping my fingers crossed that they will get bigger if anything!!
thirdly, i have my first follow up appointment on tuesday - i am really nervous about the stitches coming out! does it hurt? i had nipple incisions and i feel really sick when i think about seeing the scar and my poor nipples!
thanks girls - if anyone can answer any of those i would be very grateful!! this site has been an absolute life-saver throughout this whole thing, i absolutely love it!!

Of course lovely, fire away!

I would advise getting measured at 5-6 weeks post op. The measurement you get will be fairly accurate at this point, but be prepared for changes to occur in the months to come. I measured an E at this point, and a year down the line I'm a G, so things will change! Definately don't buy many bras until you hit the 3 month mark!

Your skin is really tight at the moment, so it's compressing your boobs so they look stuck on and feel firm. Over the next weeks, your skin will gradually stretch and the implants will fall naturally into their new place! With unders most girls get what they describe as a drop and fluff. This is when the implants settle, the musle relaxes and they finally begin to look a bit more normal. A fluffing fairy may visit you, if she does be prepared to grow up 1-4 cup sizes! Your boobs will also get much softer and feel more natural, especially around the base of the implant if you had partials.

I had dissolvables so no stiches came out for me! The nurse who removed them will be very experienced, so try not to worry, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Glad you love the site hun, we'll be here throughout you're whole journey so feel free to ask away!

Ah im sure roxy has put your mind at ease hun, like she said its definitelty best to get measured 5-6 weeks post op mine have changed so much since them though and with unders it may take a little longer, most of the ladies on here who had stitches removed said its fine not painful just one snip then they pull them out! probably more of a discomfort than pain hunny.
Really pleased your loving your new boobs too!
