had 6 week check up
Hi, i went for my 6 week check up yesterday (a week overdue, because i went on holiday), boobies are fine. The scars have healed up well and i can now have a good soak in the bath and go swimming, yippee!! She said to go and get properly measured, and advised not to go to M&S, as they haven't been giving out good advice, apparently?. So at the weekend i will go off to Debenhams or somewhere like that and buy some nice new bras.
I had a mega clear out the other day of all my tiny pre op bras, and that was really refreshing. I'm a happy girly!!

Re: had 6 week check up
thanks girlies. i've had a few moments when i've wondered if i've done the right thing by having a BA, but i know i have made the right choice. there was the odd time when i thought my boobs weren't much bigger than pre op, but when i was clearing out my old bras, i put one over my boob, and it barely covered the nipple area!! thats when i realised, they definately are alot bigger!! i feel so much more confident, both at work and in the bedroom, they've made a huge improvement to my life.

Since i had that one off phone call from her, i haven't heard from her since, and i haven't bothered to pick the phone up and call her either!!! Thats usual for us, we don't see that much of each other, mainly because she lives 40 miles away. I don't really care what she thinks now,- i've got my self esteem back and nothing is going to take that away again. :)
Thank you everyone for your supportive messages

Re: had 6 week check up
I'd definitely recommend getting measured at Debenhams. The girls there are really well trained and show you how to put a bra on to get the best cleavage/look etc. I'm due another visit as its 8 weeks now since my reop and I'm sure I've fluffed!!
