Re: Getting cold feet
I know what you mean fluffy, I've chosen to keep my ba quiet so I haven't got anyone I can talk to about it other than hubby and he's no **naughty word** use bless him.
That's why this site is invaluable cos we're either all in the same boat or we can call on those with some experience to help. Hope you feel better but it's all really normal, I don't think anyone goes into an op with some element of doubt in their mind xxx

Re: Getting cold feet
hi hunny, as the other girls have said all these emotions are totally normal. i remember feeling very frightened and also guilty about going for my b/a because i have 4 kids and what if anything happened to me.
i had bad dreams and thought and worried about it constantly, but like the rest of us you know you probably would never be totally happy with yourself until you do have it done.
i know i couldn't have been happy the way i was before, i didn't feel like a woman at all, it's definately the best thing i done for myself.
think of the good things hunny, like the clothes you will be able to wear that you can't just now and never having to wear chicken fillets or gel bras again
xxxx

Re: Getting cold feet
Hi hun, are you going to the hospital alone, is that why you feel that way? Or is someone coming with you? Dont feel pressured into anything, this is purely your choice and you can always postpone your surgery for another time when you feel 100% ready x
Re: Getting cold feet
Thanks girls and Nads no my fiance is coming with me, but its just the whole having a operation thats scaring me, and i know if I wobbled and said im not sure he wouldnt try to talk me back into it. Deep down he doesnt want me to have it done.

Re: Getting cold feet
Well i've heard a nose job is worse than a BA, pain wise but its different for everyone. My friend has a nose job and said it was more uncomfortable than painful because they give you loads of pain meds, but the pack on the face made meant you have to breathe through the mouth. The BA isnt anything to worry about, im sure they'll try and make you as comfortable as possible x
Re: Getting cold feet
See thats what I thought Nads , that the nose would obv hurt more.
I asked my surgeon which id be in more pain for, and he said the breasts. hmmm
I could just have the boobs done then later the nose if i felt i still wanted to, but it seems easier to get both done at same time, i just gotta try and be brave, try think about the end results xxx

Re: Getting cold feet
Aw FB it is normal what your feeling hunny i waited 4 months for my op and kept thinking the same thing , like nads said you can always put it off until a later date.
My mum had nose and boobs at the same time, she said it was uncomfortable but not painful infact she said the boobs were a little more painful than the nose! my best friends sister also had hers done but she waited 2 months after her boobs and said it wasnt painful at all, everyones different but i think you will be fine hun.

Aw FB I will be your friend!!!!!! I would do it all again without a moments hesitation....honestly!!! It is just inconvenient and uncomfortable...think pain and you will have pain!!! Think positive happy thoughts and be strong....tell yourself you will in two months time have your dream boobs and nose....and to achieve those wonderfull dreams you will have a couple of weeks of inconvenience and walking a bit stiffly and breathing through your mouth ....... not much pain in that I say for keeping fab boobies and a new nose forever and ever I say
Oh!! and you have all those fab DVD's to distract you and droooool ..... over to keep you occupied whilst you laze around recovering!!! Also all your fantastic boobie friends here to chat to too...what more could a girl ask? xxxxx

Re: Getting cold feet
FB, I've had both done as you know and honestly with both it wouldn't freak me out at all if I had to have either done again. Yes it's uncomfortable, but pain wise was not bad at all, in fact I couldn't really say that I was in pain. It's so normal to feel this way and I nearly escaped from the hospital before my BA!! Glad I went through with it, believe me it is so nice when you go into a shop like La Senza and you can pick up a pretty bra and fill it out nicely, such a good feeling We'll all be here for you with reassurance right up until the big day, so don't feel alone xxx

Aww FB ... I felt like this and even postponed my operation for a few months while I had another think about it. You're not alone - we're here to help you and support you as much as we can. But if you feel really can't face it, then there's no pressure, you can always cancel if you don't think this is the right time for you.

Re: Getting cold feet
Not sure if I am doing the right thing either, this Friday.. got exactly same thoughts... fiance not much help.. in fact really low as had hoped this would be fun/exciting time and I have also told no one except fiance.. had hoped he would be looking forward to it, but I really can't tell if he is or not... hence... my head is now saying 'what if' he doesn't like them after.. crikey.. last week prob was what size to go for, you have all got me tothinking I have to ask for 220's (which is massive jump from what I started at), now just thinking should I cancel .... re-assuring to know I am not only one with those neg thoughts.. horrid not being able to talk to anyone, I am still terribly embaressed about it and don't want anyone knowing.. stupid I know..

Re: Getting cold feet
Hey hun, I definitely went through periods of feeling I was making a mistake, then going the opposite way and feeling really excited etc. then back to feeling I shouldn't do it. I think it's a totally normal part of the run up to having a BA. Just try to focus on the good things about having a BA like filling out beautiful bras, feeling womanly and all that and hopefully if you keep putting positive energy into it you should start feeling better about the surgery. xxx
