Post by *Carls* 20th August 2009, 9:32 pm

Hiya girls,

I have my 6 week post op coming up on Tuesday and was hoping that I could get some advice.

I don't know if some of you remember my post a little while ago about having one boobie bigger than the other but there still seems to be no change.

I think they have dropped as much as they are going to as my scars are in the creases but the size difference is still so obvious. I'm really disappointed as this is the main reason I had a BA in the first place....I understand that they won't be perfect but I just thought they would be a little closer in size than they are!

I have read the mybreast aftercare policy and it states for the 6 months re-vision that it is gross asymetry with no prior condition.....so I take it from that, it's only if your "wonky" due to the BA and not if you had a problem before? Is that what you think?

I wish I had loads of cash to have it re-done and just pay for it but until I win the lottery or Euromillions it's just not going to happen!

What should I say to my surgeon when I see him??

Any advice would be appreciated! Sorry if it doesn't make sense-just a bit confused about it!

Thanks

Carlie

Hiya Nads,

I'm going to see him on tuesday, I really don't want to offend him because I know it's out of his control but I was really hoping that they would be a bit better!

Hi Carlie,

When I saw him he said that it's always possible for there to be a slight assymetry afterwards. It's a bit different in your case, I know, because you particularly wanted to have that corrected. Is there an actual cup size difference between them?

I think you should just express your concerns when you see him - that you really wanted the assymetry corrected and you don't feel that that's been achieved. I'm sure he'll try and do his best for you!

I don't think that they are "as bad" (size difference wise) as pre-ba but I do think they are very noticible.

I would say that they are "about" a cup size different or maybe a little less but I still feel as self concious as I did before. I would only be happy wearing a padded bra rather than without.

When I wear my sports bra for instance, on one side it's nice a snug and on the other it ruffles!

He did say at my consultation that my ribs aren't even either and that makes it slightly more noticible.

Not sure what to think to be honest, I just know that I am disappointed that they aren't better.

Hey lovely, did he mention about having two differently sized implants at all?

I wouldn't worry about offending him lovely, at the end of the day it's his job, and I'm sure he won't mind you telling him you're not happy. It's best to let him know now incase a reop can be arranged.

I agree, you have to voice your concerns, i did and he was great about it, he's not the sort of surgeon who gets rude or 'uppity' when a patient isnt happy, those are not very good surgeons in my opinion. He will give you his honest opinion. Good luck for tues x

Hiya, thanks for your advice!

I had two different implants to try and correct the problem, 375 in the smaller and 345 in the bigger.

The smaller one is not as round and full as the bigger, It just seems really unlikely that they would consider a re-op reading their aftercare policy? What do you think?

Thanks, it's great to have some support.

I had my BA for the same reason and my breasts are still uneven however I was told this would never be fully sorted before I went in. They are however 1000% better than they were. I had 165cc and 265cc implants. And they look fab in a bra. Do you feel like its better than before? One is very perky still where as the bigger one has settled more quickly. I would chat to your consultant, or do you have a breast care nurse would could give you some advise?
