Post-Op Bra? Empty Post-Op Bra?

Post by TinyMe 17th February 2009, 11:33 am

Hi!
Anyone have any tips for good post-op bras?
I have seen websites where they are around £ 100(!)
and some where they just look like an ugly sportsbra but cost less....confused, how much do i have to spend and how complex does it have to be? The £100 one seemed like a proper science project!

At mybreast they showed me one that they wanted me to buy (I assume), is that one better than "High street"

Wanna get one that helps the healing and shaping as much as possible, but it would also be nice to spend that money on some pretty lingerie for my new boobs when they are done!

Thanks!

I got the marena surgical bra from mybreast, very comfortable and is meant to reduce swelling, plus it doesnt rub on the scars as the band is lower x

Hi

I've worn a M&S sports bra or a triumph one, both pretty good...and sometimes nothing when I've been uncomfortable, just a M&S secret support vest which actually holds them up pretty well! My surgeon just said to wear what is comfy seeing as I don't have big implants.

Hiya hun, i have use ASDA sports bras after both my ops and they are only £4!! Only thing is the band can sit on your insision sometimes but i just put a bit of cotton woll underneath and job done, cheaper than buyng an expensive bra! But it depends what you want, i prsonally didnt want to spend a fortune on something that was only going to last 6 weeks but you may see it te other way, asin you have to wear it for 6 weeks so it needs to be a decent one.

When i sawthe nurse yesterday she asked if my bra band was quite loose and i said yes as im now back down to a 34 but stll wearing the 36, and she said is better for t to be loose than tight! So i dont actually understand what the point of wearing one is!! lol x
