Uplift & BA problem
hey girlies....sorry i've been away a while. Going to try make more time for you as I'm missing your great advice and also helping others (along with gossiping of course hehe)
I rang Mybreast today as I've been getting stitch like pains alot recently and for about a month now i've been able to feel what can only be described as "bubble wrap" under my right breast. Today whilst lying down I felt like my implant was much lower than my breast and now i'm starting to really worry.
I've also got really bad stretch marks suddenly appear in the last week on the top of my boobs.....great, now they're going back to the old boobs :suspect:
Mybreast were great and have booked me in for Monday in Ashstead. I'm just really worried it's something serious and i'm off to Uni very soon...just want everything to be perfect.
Hope you girlies are ok....and i'll try update u on things. Has anyone experienced anything similar? xx

Re: Uplift & BA problem
Sorry to hear you're having problems renz, I'm not even a month post op yet so can't really offer any advice as such - just wanted to say I hope you get things sorted. You're definitely doing the right thing by going back to the clinic asap. Keep us updated xx

Re: Uplift & BA problem
Renz really sorry to hear you're worried hun  I'm not sure about the bubble wrap feeling, but in the last 3 or 4 weeks I've had really sharp pains a bit like a stitch in my nipple area, they didnt last very long but were quite painful, I asked at my 3 month check up earlier this week and was told that it's the nerves knitting back together and that it can take a lot longer with an uplift. I hope that's what yours is too

Re: Uplift & BA problem
Hi Renz, I think I know what you mean when you say bubble wrap. When massaging mine underneath (when I say massage I mean poking and running my finger tip along my scar) it feels like plasticy bubbles. So I'd be interested to hear what you're told aswell. Perhaps its AT's technique??? I thought once we had our boobs done all our worries would be over, but it seems we have a whole new set of worries now .. Could be worse though, we could have our old boob
Good luck for Monday hun xx

Good luck Renz. Last few days I've started getting shooting pains in my right boob but not experienced the bubble wrap feeling. Be thinking of you on Monday xxxx

Re: Uplift & BA problem
Hi Renz,
I've heard of this before and I think it can just go away eventually as the pocket heals around the implant. Hope MrT can put your mind at rest on Monday.

Re: Uplift & BA problem
Is the bubble wrap sensation the edge of the implant that you can feel? I can feel mine very easily more so at the crease area and still often get pains and aches in my rightie. It sounds like your boobs are dropping and settling into their pockets hence the recent changes. I hope your PS reassures you and the consult goes well for you.

Re: Uplift & BA problem
ok so I just got back from seeing Mr Topping. Mum took me because I was too nervous and thought that would effect my driving. Gosh that hospital is lovely- nice staff, free parking and it's like 20mins from my house!!!
Anyway he had a big inspection of them and said it's where i can feel the implant slightly and that it should settle. The reason I can feel it is where he's given me an uplift the skin is slightly thiner however he says after time it should die down and not be feeling so noticeble.
As for the stretch marks he said it could be a genetic thing- today they're not so bad so i think the bio oil is helping. He wouldn't stop saying how proud he was of the shape of them and that they were a lovely pair
It really reassured me that I was just over worrying....I s'pose I was aiming for perfection. He said where my breasts are looks like where they will settle and he promised they won't drop any more. (phew!!) He said if they did he'd do a re-op but said it's definately not neccesary now as they "are higher than most peoples".
He took some photos for the portfolio and said he was really pleased with the outcome and understood my concerns but that the nipple scars were almost invisible and the rest looked fab. He rebooked me in for 4 months time to see the progress but said "i doubt there will be much change because they already look great"
So I'm a little happier, gonna keep my support bras on for a while to ensure no droopage and only wear sexy underwires when i need to (most evenings lol!!) He said that it wasn't neccesary to change my life and I should just enjoy my boobs but I want there to be as little complication and hopefully keep my boobs where they are and perky from now on.
I will try photo some tomorrow for you girlies but may be later in the week and be warned i'm deadly pale at the moment lol x
