Button up pyjamas and tops
Hi girls,
I know this sounds stupid but how long will I need to wear button up pyjamas and tops for? Only asking cos I currently have none!!! and need to buy some. Don't wanna spend a fortune but would rather get ones that I will wear again.
Thanks a million :-)

Re: Button up pyjamas and tops
.x. you don't HAVE to wear button up ones if you don't want to, i was a day patient and actually went home about 6 hours after my op in a normal vest top. i did wear button pjs sometimes but only because i already had some, also wore normal pull over head pjs as well but i stepped into the tops instead of putting them on over my head if that makes sense? .x. if you do want to buy some button up ones though, tesco do them for about a fiver and they are really nice, i have a few sets, so if you got some from there it won't even matter so much if you don't wear them again once you've recovered xxxxxxxxxxxxxx x.

Re: Button up pyjamas and tops
I've just got a stretchy top PJ. Not a fan of button ups.
As long as you can get it over you head and down your body without too much movement you can slide your arms in

Re: Button up pyjamas and tops
Hi Gemma, I think everyones different when it comes to this!
I had unders and I've not been able to move my arms very much at all, so I'm still in the button-ups . As long as you get one set of pj's you should be ok (I washed and dried mine in a day), and perhaps a couple of different shirts to keep you going. Like lozzied said, you don't have to spend a fortune. If you've got someone to help you dress you might be ok with loose over-the-head tops, but it is a lot easier (and pain-free!) to just get into a shirt/blouse.
I bought a nice button-up shirt/dress and a pale blue zip-up top for £8 each in asda, which aren't too bad.
Good luck xx

I had a zip up top for in hospital but didn't actually wear it as I slept in my gown. Next morning i wore a normal t-shirt. My mobility in my arms wasn't great for a good few days but I was still able to get stuff over my head. Its not at tricky as you think it'll be hun honestly xxx

I bought some from primark but never wore it. just my bra and knickers in bed. I was a daycase so had no need really.
Apart from that I wore a loose fitting boob tube type deely that I could step in and pull up!
