No bra after surgery???
Hi ladies,
Was told at my consultation by the PS secretary (who's also had a BA by my PS!!) that Mr Carver doesn't like you to wear a bra after surgery? Anyone else heard of this? I'm presuming it's so that the scars can heal without any pressure on them and hopefully my new boobs will be so pert they won't need a bra for support!! .

Re: No bra after surgery???
I have actually heard this, i am having mine done in Iceland and on an icelandic forum online they talk about that most of the surgeons don't like you wearing a bra for up to 6 weeks after, and no sports bra at least 5-6 days after surgery.
I don't know, there seem to be many different opinions about this. have also heard that massaging does more harm than good from some and from others that it's necessary. :dunno:

Re: No bra after surgery???
All surgeons are completely different, some ladies have sports bras on straight away some wait a week or so, there has even been a couple of ladies on here asked to wear a wonderbra after their op.
I massage mine when im rubbing in cream i think gentle massage is good for them but the proper way is very rough so thats maybe why some surgeons say its not good for them :dunno:

Re: No bra after surgery???
yeah there are a few surgeons who say no bra afterwards, i think it's to let them settle into their pockets properly hunny.
especially with unders as the muscles can be really tight, some boobies look so strange after having unders in.....square or just like a guys bi ceps like mine were

I also went braless for a week on the advice of my PS. I think it helped them settle nicely xx
