Darn itching!!!!

Arrrrrgggghh - this is driving me crackers!!! I'm itching right underneath the sticky tape stuff which is under my boobs...not on the scars but right in between my boobs. It's looking a bit irritated there. Please tell me this comes off soon!

Maybe you're having a reaction hun, i didnt itch when i had my tape on. Try a cool flannel x

I only itched because my tapes were coming loose so it was fine after they were off

hi hunni,
when i get chance to put my pics on you will see im strapped like a mummy lol and all around my back too, i have been itchy around the sides of my boobs and my back has been itchy. i have found that if i itch around the area rather than the actual area it goes away.

Well i slapped a but of moisturiser down my cleavage (yes I actually have a cleavage!!! waheyyyyy!!!) and it seems to have done the trick!!!

Isn't it weird how some are strapped up like a mummy, yet I only have a large plaster thing under each one. Odd how everyone does it so differently!

I've got my checkup on Thurs too - looking forward to having the plasters taken off and having a good look at them!

yes my surgeon does it as it helps with fuild build up (seroma) since he has being using the strapping he has hardly had any seroma cases and its only for 6 days and it isnt bothering me at all, would just like to see my boobs properly haha xxx

My itching is driving me mad now!!! i tried piriton but it didnt help! The only thing keeping me going is that im seeing the nurse tomorrow so hopefully it will come off! I tried to peel it off a bit but its so sticky that i was nearly in tears! it hurt like hell! :(

I think you're having the same reaction as I did to my meopore plasters, the adhesive is itchy as hell and my skin didn't like it one bit! Hope you get some relief soon Hug

Me too....I've come up in horrible itchy bumps!! I've cut the sticky plaster stuff away a bit and covered the area in calamine. Arrrgggghhhh!!

Be careful hun they can turn into blisters, I'd ring and ask if I could take them off and replace them with something less irritating...

My blister itch so much that when it eventually dried up it left a scab on my arm, I would give your PC a call to check there's something else you can use, then maybe get your GP to take it off?

I think the adhesive doesn't go very well with moisture, so when you sweat or get a little moist there it makes the itching HELL!

It seems quite a few pwople get a reaction to them plasters...

Well the blisters have gone right down. I had 2 little lines of them just where the edges of the sticky stuff were pulling. I'll try and make it til Thurs as I'm nervous about taking the dressings off early and interfering. Still very tickly but not as bad as yesterday thank god!!

Good news! I think scratching them makes them itchier which was my mistake, I ended up with a few scabs on my arm... if only I had such control!
