Restricted time off work
Hi all! I've been a lurker for a while, but I will be starting a new job in September which means I will finally be able to afford the BA so I'm officially starting my journey :)
I need some advice RE time off...the job I am doing is a training contract so for the first year it is very intense studying. We have to take holidays when they tell us, which I think are each a week long (a bit like half term).
What I'm worried about is that I will most likely have unders, which I know take longer to recover from. Do you think it's risky having the op on a Monday knowing I will have to be back in college the following Monday? The course is very intense with exams every couple of weeks, and students usually have 3 hours of homework every night and need to do about 8 hours at the weekend to keep up, so there'd be no way I could "take it easy" when I got back.
Do you think I'll be OK, or do I need to wait a year till the course is over?
Thank you for any advice

I agree, I'm 2 weeks in now. The first week I did nothing. I was 2 weeks in Monday and I'm now still hurting and sore.

Re: Restricted time off work
Hi there, it's. Wen a while since I was last on here I had mine done 29th December and was back at work on 3rd January. I only work in an office so nothing strenuous. I recovered quite quickly but everyone is different. I've read a lot of people's recoveries on here and I don't think any two are the same. You will know when you are ready. Xx

I had unders and it took me about 3 weeks to recover fully. I had about that time off work too. xx

Try to get an appointment close to Christmas - I had mine done on 21st Dec (many years ago now) and managed to have until 4th of January off - I have a very physical job and managed OK.
