Had my 6 week post op appt
Hey all, just to update, i had my 6 week post op appt yesterday with my surgeon. All went really well, he's very pleased with them (as am I!) and has said I am now find to wear non and wired bras (whatever I am comfortable with). I can lie on my sides to sleep (which I had already been doing tbh), I no longer need the steri strips over my scars as they are healing nicely. I forgot to ask about massaging them but I imagine I could start this now?
So now the excessive bra shopping can commence :yahoo:lol x

Whoop whoop, shopping here you come ;-) X
That's great your ps is as happy as you. I would double check with massage as some surgeons don't want you to, I personally was advised not to but that maybe Coz I have furies xx

Oh that's fab Ftmum!
I've bought a couple of non-wired bras but they're so unflattering!

Thanks so much girls! I emailed my ps to ask about massaging, he doesn't recommend it personally but does recommend massaging the scars with moisturiser/bio oil which I will do - I'm glad I contacted him now!
Scotsgirl - is that one of your new bras in your avi? I think it looks great! Did you go and get yourself measured first? I don't think I'm ready for wires yet so will be on the look out for nice non wired bras lol!

Yes that's one of my new ones but a bit of a panic buy - not a 32DD to be found anywhere so that one is a 34D.
I've since found a couple of the right size in M&S.
I just went with 32 band with - tried on D too small so settled for DD. Will get measured properly when I think about wired bras.

Yes I am too - thanks Bkozk :)
That's a really good size Scotsgirl but yes makes sense to get measured later once you move onto wired bras!
My ps reckon's I'll be a DD, I think more an E (or should I say hope?!) but either way I love how they look and I'm happy so trying not to get too caught up over the size! x

Thats great news, glad you're happy with them. And yes, always double check with massage, as it can dislodge the capsule. But scars, go ahead. You dont need anything special to massage into them, just something to aid with movement, a balm, oil, moisturiser.
As for bras, try not to go mad...your boobs will change shape a lot in the coming months. The Deco Soft cup is a favoured non wired from Bravissimo. I didnt like it much personally, but a lot of the other girls do. I tend to go for a low impact sports bra on my days off wires!
Hope the healing continues to go well
