Almost a year!
Hi ladies, I hope your all well.
As the title says, I'm almost a year post op. I can't believe it, strangely it feels only like yesterday I was wishing the weeks away to have my boobs renewed from saggy ugly flappy blobs of flesh to beautiful perky baps to be proud of.
Those first few weeks post op dragged and I couldn't imagine the changes that were yet to come... Sensitive nipple coming and going, feeling slowly returning, being able to lay on my front again, jiggly bounce when walking and the many stages of softening.
I don't think I experienced the drop and fluff per say or if I did I didn't notice but at around the 6 Month mark the hardness began to lessen, and they become softer all the time. They are still fairly firm but I have furies and as I've read, changes can continue up to 18/24 months.
I said strangely it feels like only yesterday Coz it also feels like a lifetime ago. I've become one with my girls now and couldn't imagine not having them.
I still have the rippling but notice this less as time has pasted, mostly due to not obsessing over them. My cleavage is still wide but with a good plunge bra I can create a nice one. My scars are pale a flat so I think in another 6/12 months they will fade to barely visible although they sit nicely in my boob crease and aren't noticeable anyway.
It's been an amazing journey with this site and all you amazing ladies for support.
I have my years check up on August 19th and am looking forward to seeing my surgeon for his opinion. Xx

Re: Almost a year!
Wow that's great to hear!!
Glad you're happy and accept the imperfections - my PS was keen to stress that there's no such thing as perfection.
I can't even begin to imagine my boobs feeling like part of me - it's all so alien at the minute.
This forum had been a lifesaver I have to say - hearing real stories from real people has made the whole process so much easier to understand and know what's coming round the corner!
xx

Re: Almost a year!
Hi Bkozk !... I hope you are ok... I cannot believe it is almost a year !
I agree with your comments re boobies, I am pretty much the same... Mine feel like part of me, I forget they are not real... I can't remember what I looked like before and would never go back !... They have softened so much, and most numbness has gone... I was quite flat before so have nothing to compare them too but I think they feel like a real pair !!
Just wish I'd had them done years ago ! Xxxx

Re: Almost a year!
Hi Kaz, in away your ps is correct, at 4 months swelling will be gone, healing is settling down so your own tissue will have softened. Your friend is right, the implant will still have a long way to go. I have polyurethane implants and these are supposed to take longer to soften due to the furry coating, although I'd say most implants (from reading real stories) take at least a year to 18 months. They are two different implants in two different breast, we are not symmetrical (even if some look it), so the changes are not always going to happen at the same time and rate.
I'd say in the past couple of weeks maybe, I've softened a bit more, it's a very slow, subtle change and I know there is more to come. One thing to remember through, they are implants made of gel, encased in a plastic so they will never feel completely like real tissue.
Hope that's helped, fingers crossed yours soften more soon xx

Re: Almost a year!
hi thanks for the reply not sure how to put photos on here but would like to put one some on , as my one boob is softer than the other one i was worried about cc but my friend says all is ok , im in no pain and very comfortable , i had mine done 20th dec in istanbul cost 1400 and the opration was a really neat job my friens scar is still visable and no in the crease of her boob where as mine is so far under you cant even see it at all , my ps couldnt of got any closer at all , my friend had hers done 26 yrs ago on the nhs and she has a bigish gap inbetween her boobs where as mine are really close so im really pleased with my operation , i also had an upper eyebag lift at the same time and i had one ear that stuck out more than the other no body noticed just me but i had that done at the same time aswell all 3 operations cost me 2100 , i had to fly to istanbul that was 300 then the hotel transfers ect was another 200 so got my lot done for a fantastic price , i told my hairdresser and she has just had an uplift and implants she had to have her nipples moved ect and all for 2400 they have done a fantastic job , my friend says i will be fine as you only worry about cc if they were soft then they go hard after is that right? did you massage yours? my surgeon said its not necessary to do that but you can after the 4 months , also when i lay down on my back they feel hard again is this normal i had mentor 300cc implants will try and put some pics on , thanks again for replying xxx

Re: Almost a year!
No worries, we're all here to help each other on the boobie journey.
I don't know much about cc but yes I'd say if they soft and then hard again plus if one never softens but your still early in healing so wouldn't worry too much.
Sounds like you had a great surgery.
I was told no need to massage because they are furies but they do get a bit when I moisturise and by the hubby. Some ladies on here have massaged but I don't know personally if it helps, you could do a post, I'm sure you'll get great advise.
The pictures, we use the picture trail site, it's password protected and we then just private message those who ask to see xx

Re: Almost a year!
Hay twinky, sorry I've not been around to answer. Got right back into my ballroom dancing. Have my first competition in 5weeks and I'm making my own dress. It's almost done, just approx 3000 diamanté to stick to it, eek.
No you don't sound moany, we get an idea in our heads about how something is gonna look/feel and if it don't turn out quit right we get a little down. But you know I love your baps. ;-) boob envy xx
Love the avi too xx

Re: Almost a year!
Hi Bkozk. Good to hear that you are doing well and good with your post op breast augmentation. I actually went through with my BA with some minor post op problems. It's a good thing that my Filipino surgeon, Dr Rino Lorenzo was really great and gave me all the support since day 1 of my post op. After it all healed, I felt like a new born! I was happy whenever I get dressed, even if its just to put on my pjs around the house. Sometimes I feel so bloated that I thought I can't wait until I can workout again. I was really thankful I did it in Manila because of the hospitable staff there as well. I wish you good luck!
