Re: Getting informed
Anyway I'm here again to ask advice I've got to have more surgery on the uplift I had last February my right boob has bottomed out and the surgeon has said he will do another op to correct it but I was wondering if I should go see a different surgeon to get advice on what they would do I don't mind paying a consultant fee as I know I won't be using them for the correction but do you think there will be surgeons out there that will see me knowing I am just using them as a pre second opinion?
Any replays will be greatly received thanks in advance Emma xx

Re: Getting informed
I'm sorry that you are going through complications. I'm only pre-op so I can't offer much advice but if you feel like you would benefit from a second opinion then I think you should go for it. A good surgeon shouldn't mind if you see them without the intention of having surgery with them. That is what the consultation fee is there for after all.

Re: Getting informed
Hi Emmy,
Sorry to hear about the problems - my friend had Marcus and said he's lovely!
There is no reason why you can't ask for a 2nd opinion - surgeons won't mind but maybe don't tell them you have no intention of using them. I went for a consultation with thg after I'd booked my surgeon knowing I wouldn't use them - just to get as much advise as possible!
Why do u want a 2nd opinion - are you concerned about your surgeon doing a reop?
Sorry to hear u are having problems! Xx

Re: Getting informed
Hi ladies thanks for the replies I think I just want to know what he's offering on the re op is the best course of action because when I look at my breasts I can see that the scars round my nipples have really stretched at the bottom and as I'm a seamstress if it was me with fabric I'd remove the damage and sew it a certain way lol but when I went in October the surgeon implied he'd cut some out from the scar under the breast and I just feel that would just stretch the nipple more if you get what I mean so having a second person to say yes or no to my options would put me in more of a position to know what is what when I go for the consultation with my surgeon x

Re: Getting informed
Sorry to hear your having such issues.
I would get a second and maybe even a third opinion for price of mind that the course of action is the best way to go. Wish you all the best x

Re: Getting informed
I would absolutely get a second opinion. In fact, I did, and a third. There is no harm in getting as much information as you can, and even using that to go back to your surgeon and open up further conversation.

Re: Getting informed
Thanks for posting Rebecca I was wondering if yours had settled. I've not been to see him yet as I can't have the op till the 6 week holidays but I feel the implants are in the wrong place they are really wide apart I think they would look and feel better on top of the muscle. They are also really hard and do not feel comfortable at all x

Re: Getting informed
Yes mine was wide apart aswel and fell under my armpit when I laid down, he said the pockets were too big and needed tightening up! So far so good I'm 3 days post op n feeling good, so much easier than last time X

Re: Getting informed
Yep one of mine falls under the arm pit and that is the one where the nipple is high and sticks out my bras the other is a really odd shape the horizontal scar under the bust seems to be popping out if you get what I mean and the vertical scar is still red and tight so from the side profile my breast has a funny /

Look about it lol that's the best way to show it on here lol

Re: Getting informed
I'll be asking for the same. As they just aren't comfortable where they are. Did you need another full lift or did he just use the scars that are there? X

Re: Getting informed
Bet that's why it isn't as hard this time. Was it all in the price you paid the first time or have you had to pay extra ?
