Had my 7 month check-up today
So I got to meet with my lovely surgeon again today Dr Sleiter to have my 7 month check-up. He looked at them asked how I was getting on, and said they were the perfect size for my frame and height - which I agree with!
He took lots of pics of them and said he wants me to massage my scares and keep the whole breast area moistuirsed as he said the scars are still quite prominent, but said they will fade over time.
I said my only 2 issues are: 1
I feel like my left and right are so different.
So he got my pre-op pictures up on the screen. And basically, my nipple on the right was always lower and set more towards my arm kind of? When my left was slightly higher but more central. I said its not massively annoying but I said I feel that in pictures its more noticeable. He said there will always be the same differences pre-op and post -op, but he does also think there both not fully dropped and settled yet. So he wants to see me again at the 1 year mark, (so that's June), and said they will then take my final outcome photos and probably sign me off if there's still no concerns
And: 2
I said I feel like if I smush them together to get that 'bum' cleavage, it is fine at the top of my breast, but at the bottom it doesn't feel like they want to move, so I get like cleavage at top, but nothing at the bottom of the breast.
He said basically because I had my crease lowered (as my nipple was naturally low down on my pre-op breast) that the muscle where my breast is now, wasn't being used before, if that makes sense. it was just part of my chest: my FLAT chest. And as my skin is quite tight and he said my skin is thick too, it just hasn't relaxed fully yet. Which also is why they feel quite tight still. But he said this is something that will all settle with time.
(He drew me a diagram and it all makes sense...really hope I'm making sense now explaining it back toy you guys!!!? I have wrote this out x3 as it kept crashing on the train journey home!)
But anyways, if anyone has there crease lowered, this may help you understand why there not settling as quickly as you think they should compared to other people. Cos its been playing on my mind.
But all in all I am super happy. And he seemed happy with how the look, infact I outright asked him: pulled my top up (was braless) 'So what do you think personally'?
He did thumbs up and said perfect size for you. Your not 'all boobs', but just right for your height and frame!' And he said 'don't be so scared of them, treat them as your own stretch your arms out and try to get used to how they feel when you do that'. Cos sometimes I feel like I shouldn't do these things, like my implants kinda saying 'ooh no, I didn't like that stop!! LOL
Soooo.... I'm a happy bunny.
Happy with my surgeon and the aftercare has been great, come June that will be my 3rd post-op appointment.
Sorry this is mega long...wanted to get it all wrote down!!

Re: Had my 7 month check-up today
Yay really pleased it all went well!! At least u get to see him again. I think I'll be sad to get final sign off from the surgeon as its fun seeing him - haha!!
I'm the same as u the the asymmetry. Mine look different but I did get my pre op pics out recently to compare and I feel they were asymmetrical then too - so no change really!! I think now because I have boobs to be proud of I'm putting pressure on them to look perfect and identical whereas before I hated them anyway so didn't care what they looked like!
Yay to a positive 7 month review - glad u got the niggles ironed out! X
