How on earth did you choose your PS?!
I'm getting really overwhelmed researching different plastic surgeons.
Even narrowing down to 3 or 4 for consultations is stressful!!
How did you choose? Help please!

Re: How on earth did you choose your PS?!
Badly and with a lot of luck. I rang THG and said I'd like a consult please. They put me with my surgeon, and both me and hubs liked him. When it came to booking over a year later, we just went back. It was an extremely naive thing to do, and I've been researching surgeons ever since for my next round. That's how I got to the surgeons I used for 2nd opinions recently.
I think you have to work out what's important to you in a surgeon. Commercial or private, baaps or not, local or travel. Then just start having consults til one clicks. Some girls just have 3, some many many more. Youll find the right one eventually

Like Charlii said do your research, I knew when I met mine he was the one. Don't feel pressured when you go to consults and if you do then they are not the one for you xx

Have u been to any consults? I'd try booking a few and see if anyone clicks! Although some charge to meet them so you could spend a fortune! X

Re: How on earth did you choose your PS?!
A lot of research! I'm having a labiaplasty at the same time and needed someone who had a good reputation for both procedures. After I found 3 or 4 I had to narrow it down due to cost. I couldn't afford CC Kat! So after a few consults I went with what I felt was the next best option for me.
Take your time and remember even after all the research you STILL can't absolutely guarantee you won't have any complications. The point is, give yourself the best chance of a happy result for YOU

I had three consults lined up, and after the first one I cancelled the other two! It is a little naive but as the girls say on here, when you know you just know. I just clicked with Mrs Kat and instantly knew I trusted her.
It definitely helped that I didn't need to fork out another £300 for the two consults I was meant to go to after! As Charlii says, there is so much to consider. For me, it was driven by a strong gut feeling and the fact the hospital was only an hour and 30 from
my parents house (who were a god send and looked after me for a week!). Just do as much research as you can and it'll all fall into place, I promise xx

Re: How on earth did you choose your PS?!
I went with my ps as an old friend had had hers done and they looked fab.
We were of a simialir build and both always so conscious of our chest area. So when she did it I thought 'why not'!
I saw him and him only, and was happy with it all, I even got a discount as a 'recommended a friend' kind of thing! She also got a cheque for £200 which was cool, and totally unexpected (she had hers done 6 yrs ago!)
I was lucky, he was a fab surgeon and they have been great, but next time I will probably get at least 2 consults in. Just so I know what my options are.
Good Luck, hope your a tad closer....!
