Aching/tingles/soreness nearly 8 months PO Empty Aching/tingles/soreness nearly 8 months PO

Post by blush89 7th December 2015, 11:33 am

Hi ladies!

I haven't posted in a while, but always in the background, lurking and reading!!

I'm now nearly 8 months PO and they have changed SO much. In fact, I actually think now they've settled they look smaller! I've lost all my swelling and upper pole, and they are so much more natural looking, paticulary in terms of the 'teardrop' shape.

I'm overall really happy with them, but still kicking myself I didnt go one size bigger!! Oh well, next time!

So I wanted to ask if any of you 'long termers' still experience any aches? I thought at this point I'd be fine, but my boobs can still feel really heavy, achey, sore (especially the nipples!) and tingly? I still get that sunburn feeling I remember from my early days (which I thought was the nerves healing?). I've got full sensation back in my nipples but every now and then I get numb patches on the bottom of my boobs which seems to come and go.

I can only describe it as having time of the month boobs, for the MAJORITY of the month!

Is this all normal at this stage do you reckon? Should I call the clinic to be sure?

You're still healing on the inside for well on a year, nerves up to two, so I think everything you're feeling is pretty normal right now. If it is playing on your mind, get it all notes down with your surgeon and see how it goes.

I can only second what Charlii has said by information I've read and been told. Having said that, the area around my c-section scar occasionally pulls and twinges every now and then and that's been over two years. I know it's a completely different type of op, but still cut open and put back. Just wanted to reiterate that healing takes time Xx

Thanks ladies, just dropped my clinic an email so at least they have it on file as you say!

I guess 8 months in the grand grand scheme of things still isnt that long, so I'll just wait and see! xx

I think with the furries too you have to allow a bit longer for changes. And changes is going to mean the odd twinge and ache I'm afraid! If it does start to be a constant pain, don't ignore it and hope for the best like I did!

I get a burning in my cleavage sometimes. It quickly passes but it's annoying.
And when it's that time of the month mine feel so big and achey, man I never had this before at all!

Feel like I'm constantly chasing a milestone. panic

Hope the aching passes for you anyway [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Thanks Charlli, yeah, I imagine that'll be the case!! I've heard back from the clinic who have said it's really normal still at the stage I'm at and to expect it for at least 18 months!! xx

18 months? Jesus panic
Still, given the choice of a slight twinge now and then, or NO BOOBS again, I wuld much rather a slight twinge, burn or sting yes  LOL

Thanks hun , I got it from M&S last week in that black Friday chaotic weekend!

Was £9 for a pack of two, got this redberry colour and a navy one, there beaut. Best bras I have, lightly padded, wired and give a lovely cleavage, but don't feel too tight and mega padded like some do iykwim.

Just found them online, and they've flipping gone back up to £18! I should have gone bra shopping mad when I had the chance haha! Strangely my comfiest one is my avi bra, but as it's a wonderbra it can look a bit much for everyday!!

I've yet to get an M&S bra so that might have to be my next pit stop! xxx

Ahh no, typical!

I have found m and s bra's to be my favourite. The super soft t shirt bra's that they do are gorgeous, super comfy and create a lovely smooth finish.

Sounds like a dining room table...lovely smooth finish!

Your avi bra is beaut, but can I heck find one that fits me right, weird eh?

Blush I'm still getting all the things you've mentioned too, I think it's normal but I didn't expect it to last this long that's for sure. I'm sure time will heal all, I flipping hope so anyway! My surgeon wants to take more photos at the 1 year mark so if I still feel the same then I will speak to him about it then. Funny you say how you wish you'd gone bigger.... I sometimes wish I'd gone just that little smaller, maybe the 380cc I originally chose, but I think I only feel like that dos of the shoulder blade pain. Never happy are we  lol! xxx

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] - love the new bra, I see CLEAVAGE galore!! Looking great xxx

Hi blush, yes I'm just over a year now and my boo s still ache at times. Especially if I sleep with no bra on. And if I overdo it. I love my boobs but they never feel like your own. Not that I regret it . In fact it's one of the best things I done xxx

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I'm glad it's not just me then haha! I spoke to my surgeon who said I can expect to feel the symptoms for 18 months or so before it settles! It's really good your aftercare lasts for a year. After the 6 month mark I have to pay to see my surgeon :( I would have liked a 1 year checkup just for piece of mind but £50 and the train fare later I'm not sure what to do! It's funny you wish you had gone smaller! I think yours are such a perfect size. They dont look too big at all, they just look lovely and full. Proper boobs! There is always next time anyway if you wanted to change size :)

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] That's interesting to hear. I know what you mean about the bra at night thing. I wear primark soft yoga crop tops to bed, but every now and then I dont I always wake up with achey boobs. Yet on the other hand, when I DO wear it the first thing I wanna do in the morning is take it off! Just to let them CHILL a bit haha! Totally know what you mean about them never truly feeling like your own. I sometimes forget they're not real, then I see my scars or in certain positions feel the implant and I'm like ARGHH! Still, so much better than no boobs! And dont regret a thing either!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Yup, so true! Would put up with all the aches and pains for actually having boobs! xxx

Glad you posted this because felt a bit cheeky coming on after so look and asking questions! I still get intense sunburn feeling, last month during my period my right nipple really hurt and got lots of nerve type twinges. I also get bad shoulder blade pain and had not linked it to my boobs whic was silly!
Really comforting to here this is all normal and I'm not the only one. Was reluctant to contact my surgeon as I think I've had my fair quota of his time...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Never feel as though you cant contact your surgeon hun! You've paid  A LOT of money so it's only right you can ask as many questions as you want!

Yes, I checked with my surgeon and she said it's all normal and can go on for 18 months before all the tingles, aches and soreness completely go. That said, sometimes it never will. My mums had hers for 15 odd years now and still complains they feel sore (paticulary if she hasnt worn a bra because of being on holiday or something).

I think it's just something we'll have to put up with :( I find Feminax tablets really help take the edge off, and a good supportive pj top at night! xxxx

I still get aches and pains too [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] so i think its expected. Under my nipples are still numb which is bizarre because my actual nipples are super sensitive! Haha.

I notice a lot more if i lay on my side and put pressure on one, thats when the aches happen.. Not quite the cushions i had in mind aye!

Obvs if your worried then like youve already done so, giving your surgeon a heads up is good. I hear you on the 'wishing i had gone bigger' as now all the swelling has gone.. and ive lost the fullness that i had, im wishing i had gone that teeeny bit bigger! But yeah, maybe next time ;-)

I hope you are well anyways. Im like you, may not post much but still snooping ha xx
