Reassure me ladies!
Hi Ladies! Can you help. My BA is Friday and i thought i would've heard something from the hospital? Ive had nothing! Not even confirmation of my payment last week? I didn't receive any details of how i could pay (bacs details etc) and only got the details when i rang them and luckily it was the final day i could pay! Phew!
I just thought, being a private hospital, it would've been a bit more organised than this! I rang accounts to confirm everything was ok with my payment - it went straight to answer machine (still no response) and i was meant to have my pre-op today by phone, but nothing!
Ive messaged my consultants secretary for her to help and am just waiting for a response!
Is it just me? Are hospitals generally quite laid back like this? To me its a massive deal and having an operation i just want to make sure everything is ok and going to plan!

Re: Reassure me ladies!
Normally you get a call or letter a week-ish before with your admission time.
I would call your Consultant's secretary - they may be able to give you all the info you need. It's not your job to organise/chase this stuff!

Even private hospitals can be a bit disorganised at times. A missed call here, forgetting to send a letter. To them its nothing, but it makes all the difference for us. Keep calling them to try and get hold of someone to confirm all of the above. Try both the clinic and your surgeons secretary, until you're happy.

Re: Reassure me ladies!
Oh no bevos - I understand your worry about sick children - it's really bothering me that illness will strike! Hopefully she will be ok. So far my experience of Nuffield has been good. I got a call today asking me for my email so they could send me the bill. Also got directions and was told I would get a call for the pre op soon. I guess they are all seperate though and I know how u feel - u are nervous enough and need to know they are doing their bit right! Just keep calling - I'm sure it will be ok - few more days to sort it yet! It's so close now - exciting!! Xx
