Pre-op over phone Empty Pre-op over phone

Hi Ladies, I'm having my pre-op over the phone tomorrow and just wondered if any of you have had the same and what kind of questions will they be asking? I expected my pre-op to involve me going in beforehand and having bloods and blood pressure taken etc!

If you're fit and healthy with no major medical history often the pre op will be a basic screen over the phone so don't worry. If the questions uncover anything they'll ask you to go in. They'll ask things like height, weight, medical history, medicines you take.... Easy peasey!

I wish mine was over phone. I've had to use my last 1/2 day holiday at work, I was going to use that to get my Xmas food shop done. Priorities though eh. Lol x

Yeh agree, wish mine was done over phone cos i didnt have bloods. I had the mrsa swab though so obviously had to be there! Lol
Just asked a load of medical history questions.

Mine was five minutes on the phone. They basically read through the medical history id already added in, asked me my height and weight and that was it x

Mine wasnt even that much, it was just asking my next of kin, and my last blood pressure reading. Quick call to my GP for that, called them back, boom, done. On the morning of my op they went through medical history and took my height/weight/urine sample.
