Nipples
Just a quick question ladies.
Is it normal for your nipples to look erect at all times ?
Mine are but only 4 weeks since surgery. Fiancé loves it of course ! I have weird sensations in them but I know it's still early days.
Thanks for reading.

Re: Nipples
Totally normal. Your nipples will be doing all sorts of things over the coming months as the nerves re-knit and skin readjusts. If its becoming painful, or a problem, you can just use a small amount of moisturiser and rub them for a while. This can help to desensitise them. Just no creams near the incisions yet.

Thanks for replies :)
I've been told to moisturise my scars twice daily. My fiancé keeps telling me off for not doing it. I want to use something with no perfume that's basic.

Re: Nipples
WHOA! Who told you to moisturise your scars at 4wk? Surgeon or nurse? You really shouldn't be putting any moisture on your scars til 6-12wks, there still might be minute pinprick holes in the tissue, and that can just invite infection. Im not trying to scare you, but we had one girl recently whos nurse (not surgeon) told her to do the same and she ended up with an infection. Story [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] . You really dont need to touch them for the first 6wks, the body will do its own thing. If your surgeon has said its ok, then by all means go ahead, but personally I would err on the side of caution and leave it another few weeks before putting anything on them.
