Re: Nipples?
The numbness is normal hunni and can take anything up to a year post-op to heal. The sharp pains you're experiencing are the nerves knitting back together hunni, it's not pleasant is it, but it's a good sign that things are healing well. xx
Re: Nipples?
Thank you so much cookie! I just wonderd becuase there is way more pain in my left breast than in my right one! and my right breast is bigger than my left, will that ever even out?

Re: Nipples?
It's often said that you should think of each operation on each breast as a seperate op and it's very possible that they are healing at different rates hun.
There is still time for your larger breast to catch up with the smaller hunni, but at 6 months post-op your surgeon should be aware of the assymetry sweetheart.
Have you spoken to your surgeon about this?

Re: Nipples?
No i thought ill leave it and maybe just maybe it will get better, but i quess its not going to get better! i feel sad about it, i paid alot of money and i expected him to even my breast out if it was uneven before my operation! so i guess i will have to go fix it some time!

Re: Nipples?
I never went numb but had extremely sore & sensitive nipples for a few weeks. They are not sore anymore but the sensation isn't as enjoyable as it used to be almost too intense now, if that make sense.

Re: Nipples?
Thank you for all your replys, the only thing that worries me is that i am 7 months post op and my right boob is a bit bigger with no feeling, my left one however went from being numb to very sensitive, the size diffrence is the other thing that bothers me quite a bit!
Hope they still change so that they are the same size! (fingers crossed)

Re: Nipples?
Have you discussed your concerns about the symmetry with your surgeon hun?
Did you have Asymmetry pre-op? and did your surgeon discuss the possibility that it's not always possible if you had assymetry pre-op to gain perfect symmetry after?

Re: Nipples?
I did speak to him about a week or so ago and he just said that i had uneven boobs to begin with! but i never worried about it becuase i thought maybe he can use diffrent sizes to even them out, but i guess not :tears:

Hiya Amor007- this is one of the questions that i asked our Forum surgeon, and he said that how much feeling you have in your nips post-op doesen't have anything to do with your ability to breastfeed! Yay!- as i only have some of my feelings back but am really hoping to be able to breast feed again! 8-)
Hope this helps hun..maybe take a look in the "ask the surgeon" part of the forum. Xx

Re: Nipples?
Do you have any pre-op pics you can refer back to? If you don't I'm sure your surgeon will have taken some babe.
Maybe you should return to your surgeon to have a more indepth discussion about the assymetry babe, explain that you were never told about the difference in pre-op size prior to surgery nor do you feel there was any assymetry pre-op. xx

Re: Nipples?
Hi, if your surgeon tells you there is a little difference pre op but nothing to worry about does that mean they won't do anything post op if the assymetry becomes more noticable after you've had your BA? x
