Hi ladies

Just checking if anyone else has had pain, I'm nearly 3 weeks po and still have pain and discomfort. Is this normal? Or is it just me be stupid. Pre op I was quite muscular with the gym and my work. I had 350 unders so do you think that's why there is more pain?

Thanks ladies x

3weeks is nothing lovey. You have had surgery, where your skin and muscle has been cut moved about, and sewn back up. They may look ok but there will still be healing going on inside, even at about 6 months.

I had morning boob for ages. Seriously had a it longer than most seemed to and it really got me down. I couldn't grate cheese, open doors, pull my jeans on, and even the school run really made them ache. Like sharp stabbing and pulling sensation, was horrid.

Recovery is a b1tch, its not easy, and you only had surgery 20 days ago, so I think how your feeling is totally normal.
Everyone heals at different rates too, so try not to compare...although we all do, its natural I guess LOL

But just know, it does get better. It just takes heaps of patience. Be kind to your body, take it easy and cut it some slack. You have been through a big op.

You've had a major operation!! At 3wks your swelling is only just going down. Like Twinky said, healing internally continues for up to a year, so you're not out of the woods yet! Don't be so hard on yourself, it's all perfectly normal. I don't have a comparison, but a lot of girls say unders is tougher, because you've got the muscle to stretch too. I had unders, and was still struggling after 4-5-6wks. It'll come eventually once your body adjusts fully.

With going under the muscle, you are having that muscle cut, pulled and then it has to stretch while healing. If you think of how long it takes to heal a sprain or pulled muscle and even after it's healed it's a lot weaker for some time too, you can then put the major op you had into perspective. If your job is that physical then your probably going to feel more tender as your working those healing muscles. Patience and time Hun. Even with my overs at 20 days I was still sore xx
