Profile help please
hi ladies
Please bear with me whilst I try to explain this...
So my surgeon has recommended 350-400cc for me, And I've chosen 400.
Does this mean that I have no control over what profile I have, because he will measure my bwd and then that will determine the implant size with regards to what volume....
I'm not sure if I'm making sense does anyone get what I mean? X

Re: Profile help please
I'm no expert but I know that to get higher cc's I had to go for a high profile implant due to my width measurement. I think the low profile implants are wider so carry their CC's in a different way. I THINK anyway! I'm sure one of the other knowledgeable ladies can help! x

Yep you're right, but I mean if he has looked at me and said 400 and then chooses the right width for my bwd doesn't that mean I can't choose my profile because it'll be dependant on the base width and ccs

Re: Profile help please
Profile is how 'tall' the implant stands. You can have a 300implant, and a high profile will be slim and tall, and a low profile will be wide and short. Like a cup and a bowl that hold the same amount of liquid.
Your BWD dictates how wide your implant needs to be, and you need to fill that's space, +/-1cm. Too wide, you risk tearing the skin walls and symmastia. Too slim and you'll have excess skin and won't be filled. So that determines the diameter, but not always the Cc of the implant. There are other factors involved.
If you're worried/curious, call your surgeon and ask what profile he's chosen and why. For me, it had to be xhp because I had a slim BWD, and I wanted more forward projection than side boob.

Re: Profile help please
I've only had my first consult with him so far so I know I'll have another one before my surgery. The was more a curiosity thing

Ah ok. Most surgeons are trained enough to take one look and a small measurement to 'know' what will work. But that's why we have several consults, to check they know what they're doing!
