Post op sports bra
Hi ladies,
My op is in 11 days and I have my hen do in 20 days - luckily my cousin is pregnant so we won't be going anywhere too busy or crowded and won't be drinking a great deal, but I'd still like to wear something nice. I know my new assets will be in no way healed so they will be kept in a sports bra at all times, but are their any that aren't so bulky that I'll be able to wear a nice top with? All the ones I've seen so far are very high with thick straps.
Help is much appreciated as always xx

Firstly, what have you been told to wear post op? Some girls are told to go braless, in which case any low impact yoga crop or a Belvia will to. If you have to be firmly strapped in, the M+S 2pk high impact are more 'bra' cut, for a low cost option (£25 I think), or an investment piece would be a triumph triaction (30-40), again, a lower cut. I wore Lonsdale's through my recovery, sports direct do them cheap if you wanted it for just an evening, but their sizes are very limited, especially for such a large implant.
My other concern is you'll only be 9days post. While some girls are fine at this point, some are still quite down. There's no way I was ready for a night out anywhere at 9days. I personally think you're cutting it very fine, and technically shouldn't be drinking anything until 2wks post at least. You may still be on painkillers, and anywhere you go, there's going to be a chance of a bump or fall. If you can't rearrange, I'd be looking at VERY quiet do, a meal out, or drinks at home. There's no point spending all this money on the op, to possibly do yourself a mischief a week later. Please don't think I'm trying to put a downer on this or ruin it, I'm just trying to give you the best possible advice I can.

Re: Post op sports bra
I don't mind, I appreciate honesty which is why I love this forum. Luckily I'm having my wild hen night this weekend as I've been told I can't drink 48hours before surgery. I didn't know my other hen do plans and I've been panicking all night thinking it might be something wild so I've told my cousin why I so urgently needed to know and she's been super supportive(I ideally didn't want to tell anyone about my ba until it was done). we are going somewhere to make chocolate (yum!!) then to a restaurant and then another surprise which she promises won't put my new boobs in jeopardy! Phew! Also I see my clinic on the morning of the hen do so I'll ask them about alcohol, if they say no then I'll stick to what they say. As for the bras, id rather go for an investment piece so I'll have a look for the triumph triaction x

Ok, at least you'll have the wild bit out of the way! Just be aware that the op can really take it out of you, so once you get back to 'real life' it can be a little exhausting, so make sure there's plenty of places to sit and rest if needed.
The triumph triaction extreme is what I used after all clear to start running again, but I know it's a good post op bra. It does come up tight though, so I'd go at least 2 bands up to allow for swelling, and maybe get an extender too, just in case. They're a couple quid of ebay.

The triumph website should show you stockists and stores. Not familiar with the NE, so can't help you there!
