Putting weight on
So, I'm not going to stress about this too much, cos I don't wanna feel down about it, (she says) but I got on the scales this morning. I was 10 stone 3 on the morn of my ba back in June, (and i really worked at this, on the treadmill and lots of tummy excercises) and I got on the scales today, having done no form of excercise at all since then, and eating enough chocolate to feed a small army, and omg....11 stone 10!
What the, I mean how is that even possible?
I cannot see that lovely waist I had anymore, just rolls! I feel like I worked so hard, and iv just totally obliterated it, by eating like a total pig!
So, I ordered a sports bra, and as soon as it comes, I am hammering that flipping trendy!
Why have I done this!? Got my lovely boobs and they look tiny cos the rest of me has ballooned!
I'm tall so carry it well but, it's there, plain as day on the scales...11 stone 10.
Gutted doesn't even cut it.....

Re: Putting weight on
Don't forget, at least 1.5lbs of that is boob now, so more like 11s8. That's not really helpful is it? You can't look at your weight, that's such a bad indication, as muscle weighs more than fat. But if you're not happy with how you're body is looking now, then yes, get back to it! But slowly. There was no way I could run at 8wks. You really have to listen to your body and ease back into it. Wouldn't you rather take it slowly now, than risk a mischief and a reop, resulting in more time off? Make sure you're in a properly sturdy bra too. I recommend the panache. It comes in both wired and non.

Re: Putting weight on
Don't worry I did exactly the same. The good news is you know exactly how you put it on, therefore it's easy for you to get it off. You'll get there in no time once you're ready for it mentally x

Aw [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] don't worry I'm right there with you! My waist is gone it's so depressing and my thighs are out of control :(
I ran for the first time on Monday as I've put so much weight on and my boobs were fine. I had 2 sports bras on and thought they'd hurt or ache but the only pain I'm in today after running for two days is my calves! I struggled too as I'm so unfit lol. It's depressing putting weight on isn't it?! It's not fair that it piles back on so quickly
Don't worry it'll be off in no time and it will make you feel better once you start, I do already x

Re: Putting weight on
Same here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]! You are not alone! No exercise whatsoever since the op, and my flabby belly really gets me down especially when it sticks out further than my bust!! So I've booked on to a pilates course which starts 7th sept, I'll be 7 weeks post op, hoping that although it's not high impact exercise it will be better than nothing lol! I'm gonna start cutting out sugar from my diet again too. It's so hard to lose weight especially as we've got kids, always naughty foods around house to tempt us and not enough time to exercise!! Maybe we can spur each other on? Xxx

Re: Putting weight on
Awwwww guys xxx
I bought a sports bra yesterday from asda, was only £6, 34e and I could not get into it without hubby's help, was crazy tight, and I now have a fat back, which I wasn't aware of, so that made me feel awesome obviously. That will be going back, which bra have you been running in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]? I need to get sorted.
I will take a look at the panache too [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], need one ASAP. I tried running in the asda one and just for 2 mins.....yuk, no. Leftie felt so weird, the muscle below, where my incision is feels like, crampy? Probably just the recovering muscle and tissues or nerves but, just wanted to hold it. Feels like more sensation is coming back under the breast basically.
Yeh Shona pilates will be good, once the kids are back to school I'm going to start up yoga again, love it. So good to have that time to myself, these 6 wks have just made me pile it on, eating out, eating late, sweet treats, not running, ugh.....September is going to be a month of fitness for me, this can't carry on.
I just had 3 pancakes for breakfast, so I can't complain really, eating like that

Re: Putting weight on
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I've got a Triumph triaction as I have a triumph near me and needed to try it on first, it's amazing my boobs don't move, I wear a Nike high impact bra top over the top too just for added security but I don't think I need it tb. everyone raves about the panache which they sell in Bravissimo (don't have one near me) So could try that too.
I eat yummy naughty foods to make myself feel better after going on the scales! I really shouldn't moan as I've been eating half healthy (I'm even making meals with Kale in!) and half really unhealthy so not sure what I expected. Just been for a run this morning too so determined to shift this weight. The only reason I'm even bothering in the school holidays is because I work every weekend singing in a show and have to wear outfits that are too tight now

Re: Putting weight on
Asda bra have no support. Anything you buy for £6 is going to be crud! A good sports bra is going to set you back around the £40 mark to keep those puppies down. I had the triaction extreme before the panache, also very good. Most of these (triumph, bravissimo, Very) have great returns policy's so you could get a couple of sizes to try if that's an option.
It is the weirdest feeling when you first do it. Your body issnt used to the weight, and it's a whole new sensation. If you feel you have to hold them down, it's your bra, but if you're in pain, stop, wait a week and try again.
Also, pilates isn't as low impact as you think, there's a lot of stretching using muscles that are more obvious post BA because you're still healing internally! Plus lying on your front becomes very tricky, all that boob in the way!!

Re: Putting weight on
Please dont get a asda sports bra!! You need a proper one to support them new bad boys! The reason they cost quite a bit as they are tested and designed for months to ensure maximum support. There is way more science than you think goes into the creation of a decent bra and sporta bra.
Please dont get down about your weight. I felt really sluggish too, but I kept telling myself to hang on a few more weeks as it's really not worth rushing straight back into exercise unless you feel fully healed. Even now at 4 months PO I get the odd twinge in my boobs when exercising, don't forget all the healing that's going on inside too.
Perhaps try and eat as healthily as you can to compensate for the lack of exercise whilst you are healing. When you feel ready, you can start slowly getting into exercise again. It sucks, but our boobs are so much more worth it in the long run! So hang on in there :) xxx

Re: Putting weight on
I'm up and down all the time, its pathetic it really is!
But, whatever. In the grand scheme of things, it does not matter if I weigh 10.3 or 11, I'm happy, I have a gorgeous hubby and 3 wonderful and crazy kids and... I HAVE gorgeous 34E breasts!!!
I will probably feel really sh1tty about my weight again tomorrow, !!! LOL
