Meeting in the middle?
I am worried as it feels like my implants are meeting in the middle.
My skin in between my boobs is lifted up off my chest and its quite a bit off when I push it down on to my chest bone.
Is this normal?
Hopefully this is all down to swelling, or something.
But its weird.
Help!

Morning!
I don't know much about this except when my friend had hers done her surgeon told her to keep pushing the skin down inbetween just incase it came away from the bone. Hers were 460, maybe speak to your nurse?

Hi
I would just give your clini a quick call. Sure it is just to do with swelling but just double check.
Let us know how you get on

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] its called tenting and its perfectly normal right now. With all the swelling, its lifting the skin on your sternum up. Once the swelling subsides at around 3wks you'll notice its gone. You can still get a small degree of it after though, when I lie flat I get a tiny bit at the bottom of my sternum, but its just the weight of the implants falling to the sides lifting the skin. I'm sure a large natural breast would do this too.
Never heard anything about pushing it back down though, that's not going to solve anything except make you worry about it more! The only time its a problem is if the surgeon has placed an implant that is too big and too wide for your BWD. This can cause the interconnecting tissue to actually come away, giving mono-boob, or symmastia. But its incredibly rare (although I did spend the first month or so convinced that my boob was going to fall through the middle! Totally unfounded, just the same as it was going to fall out of the incision at any time!!)

Omg [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] thank you so much for your post. I was freaking out! I have the same thought, although my left is fine it has actually even dropped a little already and looking good! But I feel like the right one wants to break through the middle.
I just read about tenting, all makes sense and I hope it is just that, it is so very swollen still so it would make sense...*breathes* Will stop reading symmastia stories now...

Re: Meeting in the middle?
Mine were like this for nearly a month before it began to eventually settle, you'll get there healing wise some take longer than others but good to pop in here with concerns before going on to google etc where a little worry can turned into a massive panic!

Re: Meeting in the middle?
Thank you Mirren good to know.
I went to the nurse today for my one week check up anyway she said everything is great, just swelling don't worry about them meeting in the middle when I've only just had it done last week still needs lots of time.
Oooh going4it nice avi! Where did you get that sports bra from? I really need a sports bra that fits me properly mine are all terrible!xo

Re: Meeting in the middle?
So the swelling in-between has gone down loads now, nearly completely!
I've massaged the crease in-between a bit the last couple of days just run my finger along pushing the skin back onto my chest bone and it seems to have really helped move the fluid along. All that worry for nothing! Hopefully this post will be useful for anyone else with the same swelling too.
I have just discovered I can lie on my front comfortably now too yeyyyy xo
