Meeting with my GP..
Just had a call from my doctors saying that they have recieved a letter back (guessing from the PCT) and that my doctor wants me to meet her to 'talk about things'... which has me really worrying if the news will be good or bad. It hasnt been long since first went to talk about the letter, which I think could be bad because they havent had long to discuss my case. Or unless they have written to ask for pictures or to measure me, because my doctor hasnt yet.
really nervous, i hate not knowing whats going on. dont want to get my hopes up either!

Re: Meeting with my GP..
Good Luck! It might just be that the PCT have requested that you be referred to a surgeon for his opinion, as they need to agree to surgery as well. That was the first thing my GP heard back from the PCT, unless you've already seen a surgeon, then obviously im talking nonsense!. Hope it goes well! Xxx

Re: Meeting with my GP..
Thankyou :) no I havent seen a surgeon yet. Does the surgeon have to only agree that he could do it or whether he supports the funding? What if he says no, for example? Or do they not usually say no? X

Re: Meeting with my GP..
The surgeon you see has to agree to support your funding application, in the sense that they will have to agree that you have significant asymmetry/tuberous breasts and that surgery is the only real option that is going to make a difference. So if the surgeon supports you then it's more likely that you will be succesful with your funding application. If the surgeon says no and doesn't support you, then obviously it's more likely that you wont get funding/ I can't imagine a situation where a surgeon says no and you would get funding.
Im not sure how often surgeons say no, there must be a few situations where they do. Ultimately though, I think deep down a person knows within themselves wether their asymmetry/ tubular breasts are significant enough to warrant the NHS spending thousands of pounds on them, and so if you feel like this then don't worry, cause the chances are your surgeon will probably agree. Xxx

Re: Meeting with my GP..
I was a bit unsure but two GPs agree. Its just sometimes I doubt myself and think that im not worthy and partly to do with the fact im very worried about what they'll say lol, i know how tight the funding is. There is at least 2 cup sizes between them though, just gotta keep thinking positive i guess :) thanks for your help x
