Hello Ladies
I'm now day 3 post op and woke up feeling tired, with a runny nose and sneezing, I might be coming up with a cold :(
I was told to stop taking my multivitamins before having my op but I'm now wondering if it's ok to take vitamin C etc?
I worry every time I sneeze and it hurts where the incisions are. :/

Aww Hun :( ask the clinic what their advice is and what you can take, I wouldn't have thought vitamin c would have been an issue but then again I didn't know vitamin e was a blood thinner! Also ask about zinc as that's good for immunity! Hope you feel better soon Hun xx

Hi, I had a awful cold and hacking cough 3 days PO it won't hurt you or your incisions but it just don't feel nice. Ask your clinic about the vitamins first. Xxxx

Owch! Its best not to take anything until 2wk post. You're sick because you're immune system is doing its best to get you healed elsewhere, so its easy to catch a cold at this point. Best thing to do is stay rested, keep some strepsils or something nearby to stop coughing attacks, bottle of water always within reach, keep hydrated, plenty of fruit veg and white protein. Stick with paracetamol, and don't take any flu remedies on top of it, because more often than not they contain it too. You'll be ok in a few days.

Hey lovelies
Thanks for all the advice, I'm sticking with natural sources of vitamins (eating all the healthy foods and drinking all the super-smoothies). Will stay away from then multivitamins just in case. I'm sneezing less now...and no coughs.
ThAnks for all the messages :) xxx
