Transform Maidstone
So today was a good day.. a really good day. I had a consultation at Transform in Maidstone and i came out feeling very positive.
I took my friend Sarah along with me today for support as i hate going to these things alone. My mum was supposed to come with me but got told she had a last minute managers meeting so my friend come to the rescue! We left for 11:30AM and got to the clinic at 12PM sharp. We was greeted with smiles and positive attitude which straight away made me feel at ease, not like HMG which was a lot of waiting around and grumpy faces! Im a sales person myself being an Estate Agent so i know when someone is not being truthful and doing a 'sales pitch' so i made sure i kept a look out for this.
Straight away, no messing about, i got called in Dr Khan's office were another lady was observing. He asked me what i wanted to achieve and what i would feel comfortable with.. then asked me to whip my bra and top off (phoar!) ha. He had a good feel and a good look, made me stand in front of a mirror and had another look, and another. I asked him if i needed an uplift after being told previously i needed one.. He told me i shouldn't waste my money on something i didn't need!! Which was such a relief to me! He then told me to lie down whilst he checked for any abnormalities and lumps, he asked if i check myself and i told him i do.
After all the prodding, poking and checking he told me i could put my top on and take a seat again. He asked me what size i was looking to achieve.. I did advise him that i didn't want to go big, as i think it won't be in per portion with my frame. He agreed and said he thinks 335cc implant would be perfect for me. I got out my little notebook and fired millions of questions at him that he answered. Really showed me this man knows his stuff.. i didn't feel rushed and he was very too the point which is what i need. I then was escorted by the lady observing into my care co-ordinators room where i got to try on minging granny bras and try on the implants i was advised to have. I tried them on and they were PERFECT. Crazy how someone can know a size just like that. Big enough to know i have boobies, but not too big that i wouldn't be able to dress them down.
I am going to do a bit more research before making a decision if i want to go with them.. but so far a positive outcome from the consultation and i am VERY happy! :-) Just thought i would let you all know how today went xx

Re: Transform Maidstone
Boob greed is very common! But just be clear on your goals and reasons beforehand and then afterwards if the green eyed monster appears you can remind yourself of your personal reasons for choosing your size! I get really envious of bigger boobs, but I didn't enter the process for big boobs, just some boobs!!
You'll definitely be at least a d/dd I'm sure! I'm just under 5ft6, size 10/12 and was flat as a pancake before (didn't fill 34aa bras. I'm now a 30f in bravissimo/lingerie brands and 32dd elsewhere like m&s. Although sometimes 32dd is too small.
Have you got any other consultations planned?

Re: Transform Maidstone
I have been to other consultations.. I went to HMG and had an awful experience, been to MyBreast too which were good i have to admit. Then went Transform which was really good and then Mya after which was pretty poor to be honest!!
Yeah i look at other girls on here and see there boobs and think "god is 335cc a bit small?!" but then i don't want to be massive just want some boobs as I'm a emptish 34B now :-( xx

335 cc will give you nice boobage. You won't be small with that size but it won't look over the top either. Nice size xxx

Re: Transform Maidstone
Sounds like you've done your research! I agree with Anne, 330 not too small but not too big! Just be careful about your definition of small/big tho! Did you take any photos of ideal sizes? Did the other places recommend similar sizes?

Re: Transform Maidstone
I hope so ha. I never had myself down for boob greed and I'm already worrying!! The thing is i can't ask anyone what size they become really cause obvs everyone is diff :-( this is so confusing!!
I don't really know how to describe too big and too small.. i don't want it to look stupidly big that its a lot more of a handful. But i don't want them to be too small that i feel i haven't got my moneys worth ha. HMG didn't recommend me anything as it was a crappy nurse trying to do my consultation. Mybreast said 350cc and MYA said 410cc i have no clue as they are very varied sizes xx

Re: Transform Maidstone
It is all very confusing but if you felt you trusted Khan the most then that counts for a lot! Were the other recommendations all from a surgeon too? You can always go back for another sizing appt. it might be worthwhile asking what the biggest size he would recommend (within reason) and then working backwards from there. 330was actually the biggest he could give me. Message me if you'd like to see my pics if you think it would be helpful.

Re: Transform Maidstone
Yeah i was thinking that.. i may book another appointment to go there next week to see if i can look at other sizes. But he did say 335cc was a good size for me because of my breasts, guessing they haven't got a lot of stretch?!

What are the negative points with transform aftercare? I'm due to have my BA with them next week so would like to ask the company more Qs tomorrow if you don't think they are good!
So far I've had a great experience with them and surgeon is really nice.
Thanks!!

Forgot to say that my friend, who is a GP told me that if you find a surgeon who's "day job" is with NHS hospital then the NHS can help with any complications post op. Again, she is in Scotland so not sure if this goes across the country.

I would definitely confirm this on a per sugeon basis if it's something people want to take into account when choosing. For the most part, your contract is with the clinic/private hospital so it is their duty (in partnership with the surgeon) to fix a complication. The surgeon may also work for the Nhs, but I imagine you'd have to jump through hurdles to take up Nhs resource to fix the surgeons work done privately. I realise it's the same surgeon, but he's made money out of the procedure done privately. He shouldnt use his Nhs wage to fix it!
He shouldn't charge for a complication of surgery anyway (check aftercare package) and your clinic/hosp should also cover a level of direct complications of surgery too (again check). Whilst I'm sure a surgeon may well be able to fix things in his Nhs setting, I imagine many would find this unethical, remembering your surgery costs should include aftercare, including direct complications from surgery.
Sorry if I've misunderstood what you mean though!

Re: Transform Maidstone
Thanks for your good advice, sorry, I didn't quite mean for that post to sound like it did; I was just saying that the GP said that if anything your unsure of:not nessicarly for revision surgery, but for anything you might Just need to ask second opinion on, then your local GP could help. For me that was useful to know seeing as I live in rural area and if I could not get to clinic (1.5 hour drive) quickly u could go to My GP.

Re: Transform Maidstone
Yes that's definitely true! Some ladies have their wound checks at a local gp practice too if easier and if surgeons ok with that.
Sorry if I went off on the wrong tangent! Just didn't want someone to read, misinterpret and be potentially let down!

Re: Transform Maidstone
Have you read Cookie's diary in the boob job diary section?
It's very long but even if you read the first couple of pages you will know what I mean.
All I know is what I have read from this site, and what I heard in the media with the PIP scandal, HMG and Transform both didn't care.
Who did you see through MyBreast? how did it go?
Have you tried your local Spire? Bmi? Ramsay Health Care? xx
