Good news! I would still inform your surgeon though. I definitely wouldn't conceal it, they need to take all your history into consideration especially when considering dvt risk. I cant think of a reason why you wouldn't be able to go ahead, but it's best they know so they can plan accordingly!

I have called his secretary and she confirmed it would be ok, but I didn't mention it to the fracture dr as he was a quiet Indian man and I thought he would be mortified.
I went to work today and it's ballooned when I've taken the boot off for bed and all the bruising has come out. I'm working from home tomorrow so going to keep having breaks away to get my leg up xx

I'm office based so was sat down all day and did have it on a foot stool but certainly felt it last night.
I'm about to log on now but will take a decent 2 hours off over lunch and start again. I only work 5 hours on a Friday so I can drag it out all day and take longer breaks away Xx

Glad to hear they are still happy for you to go ahead :)
Sorry to hear you have to cancel New York :( at least you can claim through the insurance!
You still have 3 weeks before the op so perhaps by then you will be walking on it a little better.
