Sports bras - Missguided
Has anyone used them post op? I've got 2 on the way as they come in clothes size rather than cup size - so figured i could use them fot gyming when i get the go ahead anyway - but just wondered if anyone's bought one to use as their post op bra. They seem quite good as they zip up the front & they're only £9 each x

I'm not sure about post op as depends on the level of support you're surgeon has requested. But id never use any bra in the gym unless it was a sport bra from a lingerie brand in a bra size (rather than clothes size) as there is no way it would be suportive enough, apart from yoga type exercise. Remember most of these types of sports bras from clothing labels are fashion pieces rather than offering a practical purpose! Even Nike sports bras (the s/m/l sized ones) don't offer enough support. You could definitely use them as a sleep bra long term so not wasted!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I wasn't told i needed high impact & the nurse said a macom would be fine so not massively supportive. I find those nike one's strap me down massively even now when i don't really have boobs to keep supported x

Hi, I don't think you will get the support from these . Support is so important. I use shock absorber which I use and used post op and also triumph shock are good too. But that all depends on your surgeon. He may want a different level of support. Some girls wear nothing others high impact. Xxx

I was told to wear a macom immediate PO while I had swelling. But after that a high impact sports bra. Macoms are compression bras and not high support. Xxx

I reckon they'd be ok for post op, but definitely not for gym. As above, these are fashion brands, and there's not nearly enough science gone into them. Pre op when I had nothing I was just using an LA Fitness crop, and it was fine, because there was nothing to jiggle. Now, I need total full compression and encapsulation. The Nike crops are great for day to day, or low movement work outs, so yoga, or even like, using a multigym or lifting would be fine. But if you're running or the like, trust me, not good enough! I've tried it, and was sore for days, almost took an eye out! You'll definitely want a shock absorber or I use the panache wired (its amazing).
The problem with Nike crops too is that the sizing doesn't quite work. As we always repeat, the support is in the band, so I went in thinking 32, get the small. Except the small only accommodates up to a D so actually it was too tight and causing more problems than solutions. So I've had to go up to the M.

thanks [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] maybe it's that I don't tend to do a whole lot of running as well that I don't notice it? - the furthest I'd usually run in a workout would be a mile tops really x
