Shall I get measured yet?
I am six weeks post op on Saturday! Wooooo! Should I get measured then, or wait abit longer? My nipples and boobs still hurt like hell when I touch them , but my sports bras don't seem to feel like they hold my boobs up enough. I've no idea what size I am , but nurse said to carry on in sports bra untill 12 weeks!? Or did she say 8 weeks and no wires till 12 weeks . Ah can't remember lol!

It's best to give them a ring hun, also mention about the sports bra and see what they recommend. Love your avi x x

I called and she said get measured now but she did say as I had a lot of swelling between boobs and down my sides I may be a back size bigger than normal still? Will I go back to my normal back size 32?

After ba I measured a 32 back due to swelling. When I went and got measured at 6 weeks measured 30 back, so yes you'll go back to normal. If you been given the go ahead, go and get measured hun. X x

I would get measured for a new sports bra to ensure you're getting the right support. That may be what's causing you the pain perhaps. But don't rush out buying wires until you're allowed to wear them just in case you change size!

Re: Shall I get measured yet?
THG varies on 8-12wk depending on the surgeon, so do check. If you're not feeling supported, definitely go out to get measured for a new sports bra, but be aware that they normally come up differently to wired bras. I'd wait til 12 before getting fitted in wires, especially if you're still very tender.
And yes, you will go back down to your normal band size if you're not already, swelling should be done by 6wk unless you're overdoing it.
