Why Are My New Assets Greasy?
It's nearly the end of the day and my cleavage/top of my bust feels reallllly greasy... why is this?
I didn't use to have greasy skin there.
I used the search bar and found a post from 2011 which everyone replied saying they had it... but not why?
One lady said because of moisturiser, I haven't applied any.
Stretched pores??? xx

Oh mine does this and my skin is breaking out but is better now . I put it down to wearing a bra 24/7!! I guess the skin is under stress also

I just typed 'oily' into the search bar and got some more results!
Cookie mentioned that she asked the surgeon and he said its to do with the sweat glands being disrupted.
Hmmm xxx

I had really greasy skin after my ba! Never before. It's to do with the GA and hormones xx

Streched skin give that shiny apperna e and also when skin is stretched it needs to lubricate itself and your chest area has lots of sweat glands x

Yup, hormones, GA, stretched skin. You may find they get quite spotty too, but its all fine. Just keep using your regular soap, and moisturise (away from incisions) as normal. Lots of girls make the mistake of thinking that you need to dry the area out, but you need to keep it supple to allow it to stretch and accommodate the implant.

It's the GA and hormones. I had it for 3/4 months and on my face too, was horrible x

Re: Why Are My New Assets Greasy?
Ohhh my god I'm glad it's not just me!!
My chest and a little on my boobs has broken out so badly! Wearing sports bra 24/7 doesn't help obviously and due to my diabetes, I swear a bit more than the usual person during sleep!
Can't wait for it to clear, I'm using antibacterial cleaner followed by palmers coca butter.

Oh I didn't know this. I just thought it was from having to wear a bra and strap 24/7. At night up until 5 weeks po my chest was always sweaty, this makes sense now!

I'm certainly glad I'm not the only one I don't mind if it's going to help prevent stretch marks etc.
I hope it doesn't get too spotty - I already take acne medication for my face so hopefully that'll prevent it xx

Re: Why Are My New Assets Greasy?
Glad you've mentioned that princess x, I went to the doctors cause my skin is so bad. Been given 2 months worth of antibiotics to help clear it up. My skin wasn't clear before ba, but since I've had my ba it's worse. X x

Re: Why Are My New Assets Greasy?
Hmm I dont think they are amazing.
They do say about 3 months before any noticeable improvements. I was on the first ones about 8 months and I was still getting cysts.
So I went on the new ones about 4 months ago and only seen a difference in the last couple of weeks.. but now I have quite a big scar from a newer cyst on my chin. even Mr Foo asked what it was hahaha!
I thought I would be told to stop taking them throughout surgery but he said it was a really good thing to take for infections etc. xx

Re: Why Are My New Assets Greasy?
It's so annoying having spots, I get them on my chest and back. It stops me from wearing certain clothes as well. My ps was similar, I felt embarrased cause before ba my ps covered all my spots with plasters incase of infection reasons lol x x

Re: Why Are My New Assets Greasy?
Good plan, I've got some hibi scrub in the cupboard, I'll start using it and see if it helps to clear the spots up, also just used the search bar for spots and cookie comes up replying about palmers coconut butter for moisturizing so might give that a go too x

Re: Why Are My New Assets Greasy?
It's all worth a go! After my shower this evening I used dermalogica's barrier cream, it's a light weight silicone (velvet feel) gel like product and it drys dry like talc would. It's suppose to help re build your acid mantle (very top layer of the skin) so I'll see if I feel drier over night and no spots come up :S xx
