V Pillow
Last night I tried to sleep with the V pillow and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right?
I had a stack of 2-3 pillows and I put it on top, I felt like it was bringing my shoulders in together which hurt in between the boobs??
So I took it off and just added 2 more pillows to the pile.... I slid off the pillows, I woke up at 5am completely flat (how I normally sleep) and was stuck!! Poor 'A' to the rescue, he got me pain killers while I tried to stop laughing and get myself up without him watching!! I found it so funny! xx

Re: V Pillow
Hehe! I found that I was laughing at myself quite a lot, just trying to move around, get up, out of bed etc, I was picturing what I looked like and it really made me laugh!!
I really packed in loads of pillows, used a massive one from the sofa and then put normal pillows on top, then used my old pregnancy pillow (it's a really long pillow) to support my arms and top stop my rolling!
Just have a good fiddle around with them till you've found you're ideal nest that's giving you comfort and good support!
Hope you're feeling ok hunny :)

Re: V Pillow
Lol laughing really doesn't help the situation does it? I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way!!
I'll have a better play around tonight. I said I need a bath mat to stop my bum moving!!
Thank you :) xx

Re: V Pillow
I slept in my comfy sun lounger that reclined back. No chance of rolling onto my side then xxx

Re: V Pillow
I didn't get on with the Vpillow, I just stacked up regular ones and used a travel pillow! You don't have to be bolt upright, just shoulders above heart to help drain swelling. It's normally around 2wks or so, but you should check with your nurse when you can go back to regular sleeping. Though your body will get itself comfortable when it's ready to

Re: V Pillow
I hated the V pillow and posted a similar thread to you asking if I'd done it right! Most girls said as long as your head and shoulders are above your chest- thats all you need. So I had just a couple of pillows on top of eachother after that!x

Re: V Pillow
@firecracker I did remember you posting something but I couldn't find if in the search bar for some reason.
I managed to sleep 10-7am and didn't fall off the stack of pillows!!
Maybe I'll try the V pillow again in a couple of weeks when I want to move onto my side xx

Re: V Pillow
I found it good for side sleeping but after a week of it, I moved to normal pillows for side sleeping with a ball of socks in between my boobs for comfort xxx

Re: V Pillow
A pillow under your bottom at thigh level helps to stop you sliding down the bed. XXX

@[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] a sun lounger sounds like a great idea! Shame I didn't have one to use.
Sleeping has certainly only got easier.. I am 1 pillow less now and so much easier/less discomfort to get myself up if I do slip! xx
