Re: April Buddies
Well in my pre and post op instructions I've been told to take arnica 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. I have to take 2 tablets, three times a day. I think different surgeons have different opinions on it as everyone seems to do something different. It's worth noting tho it's a herbal product so by taking it you won't be doing any harm.
Thanks for the Macom tip Lou!! Xx

Re: April Buddies
Hi everyone now it's getting closer the nerves are really kicking in! I've kind of put it to the back of my mind the last few weeks. Keeping myself busy by cleaning and organising.
I was told not to take arnica until after my op, so something else different! I've felt a little bit of a cold coming on the last couple of days so I have some vicks first defence to ward it off. I've thoroughly researched online and can't see any contraindications, in fact a lot of people take it prior to surgery to keep cold free. I may ring up and check just in case.
Has everyone packed? I'm paranoid about infection so I bought a new little case, washed all my clothes with dettol laundry cleanser too! Can't get any cleaner! X

Not long at all for you [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ! I think you're doing the right thing. My mum has even told me stop spending too much time on here as she thinks I'm over thinking everything and getting into a tizz haha! Absolutely keep yourself busy :)
Yeah the arnica thing just seems to be a mystery as every single person gets told something different. I say, if you havent been told to take it there is no harm in doing so, and if you have been told to take it just stick to your surgeons recco. At the end of the day it's a herbal product (and alot of people think it's all a load of mumbo jumbo!) so there wouldnt be any harm in taking it.
I have started to pack and been to Primark to buy some cheap hoodies and sweats and slippers. Don't forget front fastening pj's as apparently it's a nightmare to get anything over your head for first few days.
xx

Re: April Buddies
I'm definitely not looking up any horror stories or even go ogling anything or ill make myself ill! My main fear is not waking up! Probably the most unlikely thing to happen!
Yes I've got the button up jammed and a couple of button up shirts too. I've bought three front fasten bras and a couple of soft seamless ones from primark for when I'm able to move my arms better. They were only 2.50 so if they're no good it doesn't matter.
I'll be climbing the walls this time next week! X

Re: April Buddies
Ok, so I just did my back measurement (over a thin top) and I measured 29inches..... I wear a 34A bra now and I've ordered 34 & 36 for after the BA.
Am I doing this whole bra thing wrong, if I measure 29 inches round the back surely I should be wearing a 30 not a 34 now, but I think a 30 would cut me in half lmao?!

Re: April Buddies
I know, I cant blummin wait to get measured properly. I was actually thinking about this last night (yet again, up awake at night worrying haha!). Obv you won't know your size until you get measured, so do you turn up at Bravissimo or wherever in your sports bra, get measured topless OR wearing your sports bra (I don't know!?) then they fit you? I was just thinking you can't really turn up in a bra if you don't know your size yet lol!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Oh gosh I have no idea, think they usually measure over clothes, I guess they can measure again in a bra of the shelf if they don't guess it right the first time?
Let me know as you'll reach that stage before me lmao :-)

All my money has been paid too! Made me feel sick as well haha!
I just cant stop lying awake at night and worrying! I was at it again last night, just in amusement and bafflement that I'll be leaving my London flat and housemates with no boobs, and the next time they'll see me I'll just have boobs!!
I feel like the next 12 days are going to draggggg!! xx
