A week after surgery...
Hi all, I am hoping to book my surgery date tomorrow, however exactly a week after I am going to see Take That. Do you think I will be ok or shall I rethink my dates?
The only other option I have in May with the surgeon I want is 2 days before my hubby goes on rugby tour so ideally want to avoid that date.
I'm just concerned I'll get knocked and be in agony a week later. What do you think? xx

Re: A week after surgery...
I'm afraid I agree with Princess Hun, after a week you should be feeling better but nowhere near ready for a packed concert. It's very likely you'll get knocked and also from an energy point of view I don't think you'll be ready Sorry Hun, probably not what you wanted to hear but not worth the risk x

I agree with Princess hun. If you get bashed or knocked or squashed ouchy! Even the standing will be tiring 1 week post op. I went for a meal out in London last night 12 days post op and with a little half mile walk and sitting all night I was exhausted! xxx

Re: A week after surgery...
Absolutely not. Nevermind everything else everyone has said above (which is true), you likely wont physically be up for it. Its incredibly draining on your body, and you'll be exhausted. You'll need to choose one or the other, boobs or barlow.

Agree with the girls I'm afraid. You'll defo not even want to leave the house. I struggled with 10 minute walks and couldn't wait to get back on the sofa x

Re: A week after surgery...
oooh noooo, I want boobs and Barlow
But I am standing too so not like I'll be protected in a nice civilised seated bit.
I'll have to try and re-jig my dates. My mum is very anti this so don't want to ask them for help with my boys while hubby is away but might be the only option by the sound of it.
Thank you all xx

You'll get knocked left, right and centre while standing. Have to be no Take That and earlier boobs or boobs on another date x

Re: A week after surgery...
Again you won't be able to do both. I suppose it comes down to what you want more. Maybe sell your ticket on eBay and put towards your boobs! X

Aww if you choose boobs, then you can put barlow and co music on your phone and be sitting nice and comfy at home swaying gently in a chair xx

Re: A week after surgery...
Is there a best/worse case scenario that you could stand right at the back where there'll be plenty of room & you could even sit on the floor if you really needed to? Been to lots of standing gigs & there's always lots of space at the back - you'd just be an awful long way from Barlow & co. Xx

Re: A week after surgery...
Thank you all - I've decided the boobs win.
I'm going to speak to my bestie and see if we can sell them and go again of a different night - or at least see if we can find someone to swap with.
If no joy I'll just give my ticket to another friend for her to go with.
I've waited so long for these and now I can get the dates to work etc I need to go with it.
Thank you all again - I would have risked it without your advice xx

Re: A week after surgery...
It's still early days - seems like from what I've read people start to feel better after the first week. I didn't imagine I would feel as bad as it seems everyone does.
Try and keep positive and imagine how much better you'll feel this time next week.
Where did you have your done?

Re: A week after surgery...
I'm exactly 4 weeks post op and ment to be going on a night out this weekend but I'm thinking about putting that off.. The thought of getting a little too drunk and falling over or people bashing in to me I just couldn't think of anything worse!! Just depends on when after u can do ur boobs.. I'd be up for selling the tickets.. I love my boobs way too much now!! Hahaaa xx
