Still fretting over sizes!
So I posted a few days ago to say I was a little uncertain over which size to go for. For my measurements and the implant I'm getting, I can only really pick between 275cc or 315cc.
On booking, I went with the 275cc and I'm 90% sure I made the right choice! The 315cc looked too big and I didn't even really look in the mirror properly before taking it off and trying the smaller. After looking at everyone's pre and post op stats, I was starting to worry had I gone too small? I've heard about the dreaded boobie greed!! I've been playing with rice boobs all weekend and just not sure I'm doing it accurately enough.
To put my mind at ease for once and for all, I've paid another £20 for a train ticket to Birmingham to try one again. I'm 90% sure I'll end up sticking to the 275cc but I'm hoping it'll put my mind at ease!!
Flipping sizes, such a brain ache!! Xx

Re: Still fretting over sizes!
I've not made my final decision yet, I have 3 to chose from. I dismissed the smallest as thought it was too small but then the other 2 options are big. I am now thinking maybe the smaller one as can always boost it with bras, whereas if I go too big I am stuck with them.
It's such a big decision - I feel your pain! xx

That's fair enough, you need to be 100% sure :) but judging from your posts on here and the look you're after, 275 sounds perfect to me. I'm 30FF x

Yours look fab in your Avi! It's just feels like such a hard decision, especially considering you will have them for the next 10 years or so (hopefully!)
I need to stop reading everyone's stats I think, keep getting it in my head I'm gonna only be a C cup with 265, For £5k I would love at least a 32D minimum! Xx

Re: Still fretting over sizes!
Here's what I think you do. I think you find your nearest Boux Avenue or independent lingerie store (NOT M&S), and get properly fitted now. Take your rice boobs with you in both sizes (if you're still not sure you've done them right, pop to Tesco and by some cheap scales, it'll be less than a fiver, and you can use it after for delicious baking!). Then, once you know your current size, talk to the fitter and ask to try a few larger sizes with your rice boobs in. If they give you a strange look, just explain you're having a BA and are struggling to pick a size. This way you'll know roughly what size you'll be post (this isn't an exact science), and if you wear a white tee or vest, that will show them off the best for your body. Fitters deal daily with BA boobs, this wont be weird for them.
I do believe that if you're already a B, 275 will take you more than a C! I don't know who told you that but its utter bull!

Re: Still fretting over sizes!
At the moment I'm a 34b (I think!) but no fullness at the top at all and 5'8". I want to go to a DD and have been advised I can have 375 (might be 345 but going to check tomorrow when I call), 400 or 410s. But like you, when I read what everyone else has had I'm concerned they will make me HUGE!
Really good advice Charlii about taking rice boobs with you into a store, I'm going to try it! Just need to make them first xx

Re: Still fretting over sizes!
My friends just has hers done and is a volume less D and wants to stay a D without an uplift and was advised to go for 385cc. Take some pics while you're there with both sizes and keep them on your phone! I found that looking from front they looked bigger than from size! I'm going 265 and hoping to go from 30a to 30d. Look up rrr1 and see if you can look at her pic trail as she went from 32b I think to 30DD with 240 and 260. The other alternative is to ask for them to order in both sizes and show surgeon what your ideal looks like via photos and let him decide once he sees the pocket! I only have to give 2 days notice for size choice so you'll have plenty of time to do more research!

Thank you. Yeah, I think you should try and ignore other people's stats as everyone's bodies are so different x

Re: Still fretting over sizes!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Thanks so much for your message. That's a really good idea! I've got my rice boobs in my bag and will be hitting Boux Avenue after work! When I rang the nurse to say I was worried the 275cc might be too small, she said it would probably take me to a C cup for small D. I don't know whether it's just because I'd never looked in a mirror and seen boobs before, but at the time they felt bigger than a C (The sizers that is). I'm going to do the underwear thing tonight and heading to Birmingham on Thurs to try the sizers one last time.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] That's so interesting as we have such similar stats!! There must be so many more factors involved, as the 315cc on me looked far bigger than a D on me in the sizing. I guess we just have to listen to our surgeons and go with our gut!!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Yes,I have spoken to rrr who has really great large looking ones and she only had the 260's! Unfortunately my surgery only orders in the one size on the day so I have to decide asap as they need to order them in on time.
I agree with [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , you've just got to try and not worry yourself so much with what everyone else is having or you end up giving yourself a headache!
Thanks everyone xx

Re: Still fretting over sizes!
A little update!
So yesterday I went to try sizers one more time!
The nurse was brilliant this time. Extremely patient and informative as I asked her another tonne of questions (I had so many more following my consultation!).
So, if you read my above post you will see I went for the 275cc’s.
I went to re-try them and, as predicted, loved them and thought they looked great! They weren't huge by any means, they looked about a 32D/DD so overall I was happy!
To put my mind at ease, I tried on the 'larger' next size up.
Now, remembering the last time I tried on these implants...I freaked out, thought they looked HUGE, took one look in the mirror and whipped it off. I didn’t even take pictures because I was so CONVINCED they were huge and balloon like.
So there I was, ready to have the same reaction, I put them on and....they looked great!?!
The difference between the two sizes was SO so minimal. I was so BAFFLED. I asked her why they looked so similar this time compared to last time? Apparently it's quite common with women trying on sizers the first time round, it's the pure shock of seeing them which makes a lot of women freeze up and believe they were much huger than they actually were.
She explained the difference between the two was just 40cc - which is the equivalent of four tablespoons. If you then imagine this spread over the entire breast, the only real difference is a slightly more volume and fullness. No change to size at all!
So after prancing round and staring at the mirror with these new 315cc's...I suddenly realized I really liked them. They still looked natural, suited my frame, and just looked great! I tried the 275's back on and all of a sudden they suddenly felt a little small! I can’t even begin to tell you how confusing this was after I had spent the last week telling myself the opposite.
To really sum up how similar they were, at the end I got the nurse to take pictures of me wearing both. We then looked at the pics, and I couldn't remember which pic was which. The Nurse laughed and said 'well there's your answer, go for the 315's!'.
So I’ve ordered in the 315cc and I am really happy. I think they’ll sit beautifully once they have healed and suit my shape not just now but for many years to come as my body changes a little!
I would really advise any ladies who were fretting over size just like me to go back. Rice boobs are great but trying them on again really puts it into perspective.
xx

Re: Still fretting over sizes!
I went back a second time and so glad I did although the second sizing consultation the surgeon changed my from moderate rounds to high profile rounds which I was happier about I think ! I went for 410 cc as the other option they gave me still felt tooooo big . So went with my original size . At the moment I am 6 days post op and when I look at them I think urgh I should have gone bigger but each day my view on this changes ! Yesterday I had my nurse appointment and said to her I'm sooooo miserable I feel I've had to big an implant put in me . However today I am wearing my normal stretchy top and jumper - stepped into them- and I look the same as what I did when I was wearing my super padded bra so hopefully no one will even notice :) glad u are sorted ! Sizes were a big issue for me !

The whole sizing thing was a nightmare, I just couldnt believe how different I felt and looked the second time round! So glad I made the trek back to the clinic!
