Forgot to ask my surgeon about massaging... Empty Forgot to ask my surgeon about massaging...

Post by Boobies2be 12th February 2015, 12:47 am

I met with my surgeon yesterday for my post op appointmnet.  I was 7.5 weeks post op, and he's really pleased with how they're healing and settling.  Got the OK to ditch the sports bra (WOOOOOOOO), so can not wait for bra fitting on Saturday now with Bravissimo.

I asked about swimming and bathing, but was advised to wait another 4 weeks until the 3 month mark (am OK with that anyway, as it gives me another few weeks to shift a few more pounds on the bum ;) ), but I totally forgot to ask if I should be massaging them now to help soften them and and encourage them to fluff.

He's happy with how they are softening up, but to me they still feel quite solid.  They stay in place when I lift my arms up for example...will that always be the case or will my boobs in time kind of stretch up as I stretch my arms uo (if that makes any sense!!).  They are still very much like two balls stuck to my chest haha.

Should everyone massage (except furries)?  I had motiva unders, if that makes a difference :)

You don't massage implants , they soften up in their own good time.
Surgeons only usually recommend massaging where implants are being stubborn & not dropping.
The type of massage when this is the case can be quite firm & sometimes uncomfortable to start.
Everyone different in the rate their implants settle & soften, for me it was around the 5 month mark before the started to really soften & feel more like a natural breast.

If the surgeon really wanted that he would have said something.. My surgeon asked me to massage very gently at 2 weeks just to soften, but to be honest I never really did and they have started to soften on there own. But massage without surgeons say so is a no no xxxxxx

They'll soften on their own, it just takes a while. If they're still solid at 6m, maybe go back then and discuss massage but no need now.
