So I'm at the 3 week mark.. I had my BA with Mr hassan.. Everything seems to be healing fine (as far as I'm aware) but today I could take off the micropore tape covering my scars.. 

I'm sure a few ladies have had ops with him as I know all surgeons deal with incisions differently.. But I had disovable stitches lined with glue then taped..
3 weeks and you can take off the tape.. Well I just had a shower and tried doing it in there but I needed to see what I was doing as it was pulling a lot and a little painful..

So got in front of a mirror and carefully pulled them off.. I think the shower was too hot as I'm now led on my bed feeling a little faint

Can anyone else take them off for you? Or have you already got them off?

Yer I have taken them off.. I think I was just freaking out abit.. The scars a nice and straight but really pink and fresh.. Just put some Vaseline moist.. Dermatix scar cream on them and some micropore tape so hopefully they will heal nicely :)) xx

I'll have to look that up. I've got some aloe Vera gel to put on scars once my scabs have gone.

Hiya...im freaking out about this too. I had a re BA with uplift on the 2nd Feb. Went for my first check on Tuesday and nurse took a peek under one of my tapes (8 days post) and quickly stuck it back down and said deffo not ready to come off...need another week at least.  That made me nervous as now thinking I'm not healing! What is the normal  time to have tapes on?  How are your scars looking now? Hope all is good xxx

I had my tapes removed from insicions at 3 weeks. That was just a ba though xx

I had just a BA and it didn't the tape didn't come off as easily as I thought but I guess I didn't know what to expect.. I may set up a pic trail and put the pics on after I took tapes off.. The scars are fine just the skin is better in places than others but I think they look ok.. Did have some glue attached but didn't wana pull at it do just left it.. I think it will come off when it's good and ready.. Have u taken the tapes off?? Xxx

Hi nikkijane , 

I had an uplift  with  mr hassan, and my aftercare was the same as czlouise - tape off at 3 weeks. So don't  be nervois that you're  not healing. still very early days  post op xx

Hi czlouise, I felt exactly the same the first time I saw my incisions. I really started to freak out.I had my tape off at 11 days, my surgeon did it in his clinic. But everyone is different. Mine were also dissolveable stitches with glue I couldn't touch them either cuz they made my legs go all funny lol x
