7 days PO & incision pain
Hi, apart from feeling tight and sore to begin with I haven't had much pain. The most pain I get is a really sharp pain where my left incision is. It's really uncomfortable and takes my breathe away. I take paracetamol and hold a cold compress on it over my top. This eases it.
I've checked that my bra isn't rubbing on it and the incision is clean & dry. I don't have stitches, just surgical glue on it.
I have a nurses appointment at the clinic on Saturday (10 days post op)
I thought I'd be doing a lot more by this stage, the most I can do is walk around the house. I tried walking to school for pick-up but it was agony on the left incision.

Re: 7 days PO & incision pain
It would be best not to apply the cold compresses you've been using on your incisions as this can constrict the veins and hinder your healing twinkleroo.
You can use ice to help you through the sensations you get through recovery, but only ever over the tops of your boobs, never near your incisions hun.
The shooting pains you're experiencing are very normal. It's just the nerves healing and sensation returning to the breast. The take your breath away comment - yup, many of us experience that. It's not a nice feeling but it's a good sign that everything getting back to how they were pre-op.
Maybe ease up on the walking too if it's hurting your boobs. Just take a step babe hun and maybe take a shorter and slower walk to excercise but that won't hurt your incisions. Maybe ask one of the other mums if they could help walk the kids to school for a while, so you can just do short and gentle, slow and steady building yourself up.
Everything all sounds very normal though babe, so I wouldn't worry, but I would give yourself a little TLC. Xx

Glad you posted this Twinkleroo as I have the same thing today, did too much walking in London and travelling home in rush hour was not fun. Shooting pains in right hand boob/scar ever since.
Thanks for your advice Cookie xx

Thanks Cookie, I did not know that about the cold! Can you use a heat pack?
My husband is off this week so he's luckily doing the school run & looking after our toddler at home. I just desperately wanted to do something as was going crazy in these 4 walls! Haha!
I just wasn't prepared for how physically & emotionally draining this would be. Thought I'd have sore boobs and that's it!

A heat pad won't help at all babe. All they help is muscle pain and reduce bruising.
Stick with your ice pack. If you don't have any ice packs use a bag of frozen peas/corn/rice or anything else you can comfortably place over the tops of your boobs. The cold does run through the breast without compression on the wound that as I said will compromise your healing. So you will get the benefit without applying right on the wound. It does help tremendously hun.
It's good you have hubs there to help. It gives you time to just focus on you. You've no need to be sat twiddling your fingers all day. It'll drive the best of us mad lol. Just don't overdo it. As I said, take it slow and steady at first and go out two or three times a day getting lots of rest i between, because you do feel really tired after your Breast Augmentation and this is your body telling you to REST so it's very important to listen to your body and rest when you need to. As my mum used to say - you sleep whilst you're healing.
And yes you're right. There not very many of us prepared for the recovery part of the op. We can read it all and think we know it all, but when our time comes....we know nothing at all lol.
That's were a support forum comes into play. Having others going through the same or having gone through really helps lots and it saves the other halls ears getting a lashing from us constantly talking boobs haha.

Echoing cookie really, it's just the nerves healing, and your body probably telling you to slow down a bit! They'll ease off eventually, but cold packs across the tops of your boobs and paracetamol should see you through the worst of it.
